  • I hope to go in October... all depends on how my schedules and situations wind up.

  • @todkapuz - Its an interesting experience, I hope you can go.

  • @JimNtexas Yeah, always had a fascination for them, even when young... so beautiful yet so deadly. When I was taking some renewal education for my radiation safety officer position, managed to go to the Nevada Atomic Testing Museum. I guess having worked with radiation for 7 years, its just something I'd like to see, much like the sites in Japan.

  • Great vid.

  • Loved the video and great information Jim.The wind was strong and made it hard to hear at times..maybe a bit of tape over the mic would help. The tele-type was classic lol.

  • Jim,

I enjoyed following your trip with the "spot software". The videos and your comments are SPOT ON!

    Tim in Spring

  • @tbertw Thanks for the kind words, I appreciate you taking the time to watch.

  • Good ol Gomez, wanted to be county seat of Terry county, but Brownfield got it!

  • Jim, cool video. I wanted to hit Roswell when I went out West but ran out of time. Next time! Thanks for sharing your adventure.

  • @motochron My pleasure, thanks for watching.

great vid Boss keep em comming

and don't cowboy up we understand

  • Awesome, great stuff. Can't wait for Part two!

  • I know that had to tickle you about the tele type. We are just a different generation. Sort of sad really. VHF/UHF TV antenna, B/W TV's, 8 Tracks, Cokes with NO twist off caps. GLASS bottles. The list goes on and on.

  • I have family in Big Spring and many friends in Midland....I lived in Midland for a few years....sure don't miss the dust storms.

  • @britex3186 - The dust wasn't too bad, although my motorcycle was covered in it when I got home.

  • Great stuff there Jim. Man, all that wind would make me crazy! Glad to hear the bike is rolling along well for you. Stay safe out there :)

  • @davidhowellca - It does get pretty windy! Thanks for watching!

  • did you feel the quake? I might be way out, my geography sucks.

  • @svengalie - I'm not sure the quake was felt much in New Mexico. The way the wind was beating the crap out of me at times I might have overlooked it.

  • @JimNtexas You might want to put a piece of tape over the microphone for future, kinda sucks all that wind when you're talking. Good video though.

  • Now that looks like fun! I would love to take a trip for a few days and see what's out there. Can't wait for part two! Great job, Jim!!

  • @onejillion - Thanks Jill, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

  • Love the trip Jim! Ive already been itching to travel on the bike again and this is making it worse. haha The friend that rode with me to AZ is buying an FJR so any experience youd like to share would be appreciated. =) Ive always wanted to see roswell. Gotta be pretty crazy town and id love to hit every weird tourist trap there. lol

  • @woodenchairs - There is a huge knowledge base about the FJR on the two big FJR web forums, fjrforum and fjrriders .

Roswell is an interesting town for a day.

Your big trip last summer helped motivate me I'm glad you enjoyed my weekend jaunt.

  • FREDERICKSBURG!! lol i love that place.. and the peach ice cream! nice little town

  • @xox945 - The wildflowers were just starting when I went through, but now they are going crazy because of the wet fall and winter we've had here. I'm going to go back sometime time to take some pictures.

    Thanks for watching.

  • haha "short little legs" aw jim so cold hearted bahaha. great video! also "i went through a low point after that burger" ha jim :D

also, id eat the whole burger, you never know howlong you can spend on the road, if your hungry/thirsty it can create serious distractions especially on a huge touring bike. take it easy jim!

  • @BirmzWeedhead - It's real important to drink a lot of water on a trip like this, probably I didn't need that whole big burger though. It was good though!

  • haha "short little legs" aw jim so cold hearted bahaha. great video!

  • lol at the end the bike looks almost sad, as if thinking "Why'd we stop riding!?" Great vid, Jim.

  • @DasPenguin85 - You may be right about the bike, it loves a highway trip! Thanks for watching.

  • work on your video encoding/compression

    or get a better camera

  • @hawaiisidecar - You watched it seconds after it went live. Once Youtube finishes processing it then the video quality will be at least a bit better. In any case, thanks for watching!

  • @JimNtexas

    oh duh

    sorry

    i enjoyed the video anyways
