You didn't show one instance where mormon teachings defer from the Bible. Galations is evidence of a forthcoming apostasy of the early church (see also 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12, 1 Tim. 4:1-3, 2 Tim. 4:3-4, 2 Peter 2:1-3). Joseph taught that because of this great apostasy, where the doctrine and ordinances where changed, there needed to be a restoration to the same gospel which Paul and the other apostles had. It was not another gospel.

I would dare to say that the lds church trumphs all of them with the number of apostles and prophets. Revelation states there will be prophets selected by God warning the people of the Lord returns at the end of time. There hasn't been any lds prophet since Joseph Smith handing out a prophecy or warning of the Saviors return. Joseph got the timing wrong anyway.

Thank you for directing me to that verse. But it seems to me that they could not possibly be Mormons, because the same passage says:

Rev. 11:1-2

"Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, and count the worshipers there. But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city for 42 months."

Since the Temple of the holy city was destroyed in 70 AD, it seems likely to me that this has already happened.

Your premise is flawed. You assume that what is left of the gospel in the bible is the complete gospel. The premise of the restoration lays on the foundation that your assumption is wrong. However it is very clear now that the Bible is wholly incomplete and redacted by Paulines and missing many many books of scripture. It represents only about a tenth of what one group of Christians or another held as scripture. Essentially it is Cherry picked by Constantines agents not Christs.

Your claim is that because an angel came to Joseph and told him where to find another record of a group on another land, that it preached a different gospel.

In the Bible, has an angel ever preached the gospel of Christ? If one or more has, then an angel can in present day teach the gospel of Christ.

The real question left to be answered is, was the gospel of Christ taught?

So, for the sake of argument, we must first identify what the gospel of Christ is.

I should also point out that the epistles of Paul were to individuals and churches that have already received the gospel but were going astray from it in same with the epistle of James.

Sorry to let you know brother but I am afraid that you are a bit inaccurate. You see the specific problem with the church of the Galatians was that they were following the gospel the Judaizers or the group of the circumcision. Continue reading in Galatians see the problem was that the Christian Jews were telling the Gentiles in Galatia that they had to live like Jews to be saved and Paul told them that was wrong, that we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
