This means that this video isn't the same scenario as the one where the iranian speedboats were threatening the US warships. One of them involved Warship 70 and the other involved Warship 73. Totally different.

I really liked the pentagon's Slide-Show, it's so well organized. They have the (U.S. Navy Ship) and the (small craft) titles for every messages, and they also have the subtitles, and the Ship-to Ship Communication bar, and the STRAIT OF HORMUZ bar, and the Department of Defense Bar and the CNN Logo. Whether it was or not does not matter. But I can tell you that the NAVY does not use small boats like this, nor do they take the time to simulate something so stupid. Its a waist of time. Also, the ship was called to general quarters if you didn't hear the siren go off in the beginning which is not something taken lightly. And someone mentioned something about them calling out the names of the ships every time when calling to the other ships... That is proper Navigational rules of the road.

I really liked the pentagon's Slide-Show, it's so well organized. They have the (U.S. Navy Ship) and the (small craft) titles for every messages, and they also have the subtitles, and the Ship-to Ship Communication bar, and the STRAIT OF HORMUZ bar, and the Department of Defense Bar and the CNN Logo. But when you get to 00:12 he started to sound like he's reading a poem. I don't know how the video quality suddenly resembles to those of Hollywood movies. Few Problems with this video...
1. Video feed is edited, you can't trust it.
2. They are in international waters, why would the Iranian Navy care about our ships?
3. They were too close to our vessels, the standard rule is to stay 200+ feet away from a ship of that size.

The real question is why should U.S. warships be so close to Irans coast with so much firepower with a radical government in power. That ship could fire anywhere within Irans boarders with cruise missiles. Iran has already bled to be free of their U.S backed dictator, leave them alone. Not only that, oil would be far cheaper.

oh did you notice that you couldn't hear the many warnings that the USS Hopper was giving off, and pay attention to the REAL video. The Iranian radio transmissions barely got to the ships, but at the end of this vid, the Iranian talked as if he had a perfect connection with the US ship so thats fake. Oh and the at the end when the guys are talking, the guys were talking like nothing happened so that should be enough proof to prove that THIS is the fake.

umm there were 4 other Iranian boats, video from a single boat don't prove a thing. btw we all know the Iranian were the ones trying to provoke the US ships. There was absolutely no reason for the Boat Patrol to even start speeding towards them in a threatening way. btw its just as easy to fake something like this. All the Iranians needed was a person good at English to be on the other end of that radio and say all this WHILE they were threatening the US ships to try to prove their "innocents."
