  • I race lawnmowers in the J/P class #842 and THERE IS NO BLADES ALLOWED!!!To make a lawnmower go theses high speeds you don't put a highly modified engine on a stock frame because you going to go about 10mph..Its all in the gearing and pulley sizes..You need to pay more attention!!!!

  • The Motor transfers the power to the belt which transfers it to the transmission then transmitts it to the wheels by a chain and sprocets...THERE IS NO BLADES ALLOWED!

  • No No No you guys got it all wrong, The motor turns the wheels then the blade is somehow attached to the wheels the faster you go the fast the blade cuts. So they just put a bigger motor and bigger wheels on to go faster. I know my dad races them and builds them, His name is Don Gienger.

  • wtf.... um no.... the motor is attached to a drive pulley whice on the driver pulley there is 2 pullys on 1 shaft the blade pully (the bigger one) and the drive pully the smaller one the smaller pully goes to the transaxle whice spins the wheels... the big one goes to thedeck which spins the blades the higher RPMS the faster the blades will spin the speed the mower goes has nothing to do with how fast the blades spin...

Marc4reg, this was filmed in America.....We do not race for money....we only race for fundraising and or charity events. No Blades, Highley Modified Engines, Frames and Brakes.   • I think what they do, is they take the blade off, and use the motor that runs the blade to run the wheels. and since the blade goes at maybe 15000 rpm, so will the mowers wheels.
