Footwork is just a result of conditioning the body in a certain way that follows the natural lay of the muscles. And the guy in the vid didn't hit hard enough to warrant having my hands up in the guard.
interesting....although your hands are down on your guard you just seem to carry on regardless...is there reasoning with the footwork a it just seemed a natural rhythm??
Both sparring partners had the option to deliver dozens of finishing blows ... but what is the point of that if both of you are there to learn ..... I bet you the kick boxer is as tough as nails ... and could go up 5 or 6 gears when required ... The big sparring partner looks solid as well ...
can some1 explain what is going on. I figure out the one element of your style is keep pushing forward and let no space for the kickboxer to punch/kick (i know about WC so I spot this element easily).
Very very nice! I'm bored with those IMA guys who say "we don't use it cause it s too dangerous" :-) You look very relax, you give a feeling of slowliness but every move is right and I can feel the "underground" power :-)
hmm, good video Rob. it gives me idea on what it is like for true power vs. forms... the idea of training the frame is SO bad ass. i'm glad tien call me the other night. because i had no idea about Ark at all.

Hey, are you from the Aunkai group?
Good stuff in this vid. Nice grounding (despite obviously electing not to root), solid "body", good connected short power. +1!
Gonna check out your other vids now.

Well, good Hsingi footwork, and sure you got him. But you're taking way too many hits/kicks to the lower body.
