I love how subtle but ever present Winthrop's lisp is in this version. In the original, it sounded like the kid was trying to spit at you whenever he ran into an 's'. In this, you notice it, but it doesn't get in the way of the performance.
I wish life was a musical! People randomly breaking out into unrehersed but syncronized song and dance! And they all know the lyrics of the songs that they are improvising together! It would be SO KEWL!
@broadwaymike92 was the les mis you saw happened to be on tour? If so, I know her personally. She was an actress at the live performance theater that I work at before she went onto the tour of les mis..
Cameron Adams who plays Zanetta is currently in How to Succeed in Business on Broadway with Daniel Radcliffe! When i saw Les Miz, she reminds me on the actress who I saw playing Cosette. The hair, the smile, the romance, and more.

See, obviously, the original movie is a hell of a lot better, but honestly.... I think Kristin just might be a better Marian. She puts all these really good facial expressions into it. :D
She's VERY good. Considering how tiny she is. XD Shorter than most twelve olds!
wow tommy, you must be real hit with all the other ladies "You could go blind!" (stupid grin).
unrelated, the only good parts about this remake were the new wells fargo wagon song (faster, more fun beat), and Kristin Chenoweth, the new Marrion Peru (Pretty hot)
I think she's better than the " original" pretty uch everyone is a fresh take but broderick. No offense- he does the job in his own way but I like the chemistry between the "original" marion and "Harold hill". No one would say the chemistry is better in this one.
Wells Fargo has always been a financial company, but their central role in helping our nation grow was through transportation (stagecoach, railway, pony express). The WF Wagon delivered everything from ice to beer. If you had something special arriving, you looked for the WFW. Just like in this movie, everyone in America knew the wagon when they saw it, and were excited to see it. They even delivered in snow. They just replaced the wheels with sled runners.

I love that you could really feel Marian falling for Harold, just little moments here and there. Subtle but still there.
I've seen bits and pieces of the original and not once did ever feel like Jones' Marian loved Preston's Harold, or even liked him. Or the other way around.
Chenoweth and Broderick are beautiful to watch together, and Kristin is truly just beautiful in this role. I feel like her Marian really transforms and falls in love.
@pestsprayed: i played Marian in senior year and i had this scene in mind. i tried channeling Kristin but when i saw the dvd all i was doing was smiling the entire time :)
Is it just me or did they put it like 3x the normal amount of black people in the general population? Is it to make up for the fact that there were no black people in the original?
Does anybody but me think it's odd that they gave the line "I got a box of maple sugar on my birthday" to a kid? Seems like a strange gift to give an eight year old. Just struck me as kind of odd.
The actress who plays Zaneeta is currently on Boradway in Cry-Baby. Cameron Adams. This movie version she is recreating the role in which she originated in the 2000 Broadway Revival.
