This is why Scott thought people would think he would sound too much like Jim when STP first came out in 92, but as we know critics instead slammed him thinking he was imitating Eddie Vedder.
TOO MUCH SHIT TALK HERE, SCOTT JUST HAD JIM TRANSFER THROUGH HIM, SHOW RESPECT. IF RAY THINKS IT'S COOL YOUR OPINIONS DOESN'T REALLY MEAN MUCH.... IT'S ABOUT THE MUSIC, FUCK EVERYTHING ELSE.
STP kills, and this cover is great; but he's still a douche... err, looks and acts douchie, I mean. Though I bet if I'd ever meet him, he'd be a douche.
Y'all know what I mean. If you don't agree with me, I know for a fact you know where I'm coming from...
i love u scott i think jim would actually feel good what a legend he became himself i think it was meant for jim too die young i dont he could take being old
@mkh1294 surely you must be a troll. the way you capitalize every single word, the way you proclaim Stapp as being anything better than anything, especially this man. Weiland helped mold the music that Stapp took and smeared his diarrhea on it. so, with that being said, you must be a troll, or someone with no background.
@thompson8305 surely by the use of the word troll and how you sound retarded, you must be the biggest fucking dumb ass ever. Scott Weiland is the biggest dick head ever. why do you think his bands all failed.
@mkh1294 sure. how is he a dickhead? 12 bar blues was a fantastic album and i'll recommend it to anyone. S.T.P. is still around and is going to be touring Europe this year. if thats a fail than so be it. i think san grila or whatever the fuck was a waste but the prior two albums were fucking great.
I wonder if these other "Rock Gods" (Vedder, etc. )feel like they are chanelling Morrison when they rip the fuckin' mic cover his songs. I know I would...
damn scott i still love ya know matter how many drugs and rehab u did a damn good job i think jim would be proud if was alive rip jim rock on the afterlife
@dimitriew086 Not Jim, but FANTASTIC...better than good. If it suits the others in the band. It should be good enough for anyone else on the panet. (They were the ones that new what Jim brought better than anyone)
Funny thing about Scott is he's a chameleon, and I like that about him. He can channel Lennon, or Bowie, or (in this case) Morrison. But yet, Weiland's always Weiland at the same time. That said, I prefer Scott's stuff with STP, because he always comes up with an out-there melody that somehow works.
@pryt86- BTW- I'm a fan too. I've been a fan since I saw them open for the Butthole Surfers in 1992. To this day, it's one of the best shows that I have ever seen. Being that you're 24, that means you were 5 when I was at that show.
are you kidding me? this guy has great vocals...i think if he would of put a little more effort to get that loud raw sound like jim did it would be even better...
The other guys in Storytellers were pretty good, but none even compared to Scott. No one else brought the pure energy and excitement into their performances the way he did. Of course I am very biased since Scott Weiland is like a God to me alongside Jim Morrison
Ok now look here I can tell by seeing The doors here they approve, look at Ray man he's singing a long its probably taking him back to the day, everyone was having fun no one got hurt , Love STP Love Doors !!!!

Both Scott Weiland and Eddie Vedder can kill this song. you can see the true influence morrison had on both of them. Weiland Does the song a little differently then how Morrison and Vedder (Being like Morrison) sing it. specially on the first chorus. Its still awesome though as it builds it up a little more and gets your attention a little more. Scott Weiland rules, The Doors rule, and Eddie Vedder also fucking rules!!
