Your music in Planetside 1 was perfection in its purest form. I truly hope with all my heart that you will be the one writing the music for PS2 and that you will be given the time to bring it to the same level of perfection as last time. That time of Planetside I will never forget thanks to you. =)
As a Blue Lion for the NC, hearing this makes me very hopeful of Planetside 2 making an incredible grand opening to the world of MMO gaming that many of us here who probably still Planetside have been waiting for. ^^
A fantastic piece in my opinion, i'm proud you're re-orchestrating this Planetside classic, and I look forward for the other pieces we've not yet heard of. Thank you.
Thanks for this. It brought back memories from 2003, early mornings at the weekend playing PlanetSide all day. Here is hoping that PS2 is just as good :)
Your recent posts actually have done more for me than the Sony interviews in making me believe this sequel is real and actually happening.
I'm guessing this really needs to inspire a sense of duty, but nervous tension about going into battle?
Must be tough to come up with a theme that encompasses all 3 factions. Drumlines are very inspiring for NC and Terran, but not so much when playing Vanu.
That's amazing!, i REALLY hope that you will be working on PS2 as your touch (when it comes to soundtracks) is amazing!.One of the main thing's i liked about Planetside was the music .. and even today, when i don't play it all that much,i listen to your soundtracks and it bring's all the great feelings rushing back. Thanks!!
A masterpiece, Ferrone, and my favorite work you've done so far. This is the perfect echo of nostalgia rising from a refined piece of something new. If this song played in the menu screen of Planetside 2, I might actually weep from joy...
Simply amazing. Hearing this brought me back to the glory days of Planetside, and almost brought a tear to my eye. You sir are a master. I'm sure Planetside 2 will be nothing short of awe inspiring should your music be at the helm.
While I love this theme, you only really heard it after you exited the game and went to the main menu...the rest of the time it was that other theme...and it isn't as grand, but it's sort of more memorable because that's what you always heard when you started the game up.
Not really streamlined enough for the modern age, still great tho. It added SO MUCH to the atmosphere in game, I don't just remember the planets/ continents/ climates visually, their identity as expressed through the music was as crucial in my opinion. If I had to pick one that impressed on me the most it was the music_travel_temperate which I think played in Solsar even tho that was more of a desert area; it wasn't too intrusive as some game music is which is when you turn it off.
Jesus... Brings back such great memories. Planetside was that one MMO i couldn't turn the music off while playing. And the NC theme is still one of my ringtones... Gotta thank you Don. This was a great suprise. =)
Thank you so much. If you feel like sharing this with Rodney Gates I would certainly appreciate your help. I'm still waiting for SOE's decision.

Prefer the original. This version seems washed out. Not as tight.

I would really like to hear this as the PS2 title but I suppose its too similar to the original for them to use it, sadly :(

Also reminds me of the Band of Brothers music, it's got that feel.
