@MattJones1418 Wrong, Tiger played Titleist clubs for a long time. Even when Nike clubs hit the shelf for regular consumers he was still playing Titleist clubs. He slowly switched over to Nike clubs starting with the driver and then with irons but you can bet those were made specifically for him.

It was in 2000 when he signed the 105 million dollar 5 year contract that Nike went from a start up company to the powerhouse it is today. The only thing Tiger used before 2000 that was Nike equipment was the shirt on his back and even those sucked at the time.

@foleygac Duhhhh... Those were prototypes disguised as other manufacturers. Nike didn't want to release them to the masses till they were tour proven. Look at the blades branded nike, even now, they look identical to his old blades. It's the same as apple disguising the current 4th gen iphone prototype with a 3GS skin.

@MattJones1418 We can both agree that Tiger does not play off the shelf equipment, and no tour player really does, but I'm telling you for a fact Tiger didn't switch his irons until the American Express Championships in 2002 and up to that point he was playing Titleist everything except for a golfball. In 2003 he even switched back to his old Titleist 975D at the PGA Championship. I was there and saw the club in his hand in person. You can find all this info through Google.

Nike makes blades for tiger which are closely modeled on titleist's forged blades which are in turn copies of mizunos blades which are also originally copied from the old Hage ultra blades. So you could say he's playing alot of companies all with his blades.

Most Tour Pros don't have putter contracts. Mickelson does not have a callaway putter. They only do iron, driver and fairway wood contracts. Even the wedges - some players have different brand wedges from their contracts.

tiger uses nike one PLATINUM. he used platinum because one black is for golfers who spin the ball alot. tiger comes in the ball very shallow so he needs spin. platinum puts more spin on the ball with the irons. back in the 90s tho, nike didnt retail golf balls so he used titlest.

The ping putter was Years ago before he was pro and if you look at pics from 97 he played a Newport Cameron and you can find Cameron commemorative putters from his win in 96 for his third US Am. For some reason he has always used an old school PING grip on his putters even to this day. He had the Vokey wedges for years when they came out in 90 or 91 and only recently replaced those in the past 2 to 3 years. I'll have to start posting pics of the details. -

HE may have had something Nike on but they weren't even making Clubs back then. He was titliest until 99/2000 he started with Nike balls and then made the switch as they ramped up production on Clubs. He played his Titliest PT fairway wood for a long time after that and the Driver as well until they made all of those clubs as well. I can send you Pics of his clubs/balls/putter/driver... He actually played a King Cobra driver at one point as well. -
