I can't believe it...for almost two years i've thinking this song and other ones were from death cab, and now i discovered that this band is the one that own them..great though, now i have another band like DCFC to listen to

everyone thinks it's DCFC, these guys leaked a version of narrow stairs on itunes, filled with their songs but death cab's dong titles :) did 'em good 'cause almost everyone here found them through that fake album

The singer sounds exactly like Ben Gibbard, it's eery.

Thank God. I spent a month looking for it. Rubbish ! I thought it was "Pity and fear" by Death cab for cutie, that's what my iPod says. Im thankfull to God for finally founding it.

all this stuff happened to me too. i was running all my dcfc stuff through tuneup and it kept giving results for velveteen. i knew there was something up with those songs.

I have two songs on my ipod (by velveteen) and I always thought it was death cab.

me too i had the getawy under cath and the big layoff under the ice is getting thinner i was so shoked hahaha i thought these songs were DCFC for the longest hahaha well at least we discovered this awesome band out of the mixup! :)

@enderthegreat My girlfriend had the same song on her ipod, I went to the Bahamas this week and couldn't stop listening to it on the beach, I come home and look it up on youtube and it was definitely not the death cab song marked. I saw your comment on another video and looked this song up and found it here. Either way, an incredible song

@enderthegreat the songs are all labeled wrong because of some April fools joke where some guy "leaked" Narrow Stairs and it was actually Velveteen because of the similarities of the two bands. PS is your screen name a reference to the book Ender's Game?
