spinnerZulu, the Qur'an does not state that. Try looking at the hadith (not just the sayings, but the actions too). The Prophets wife was a Muslim and her father (a non-Muslim) visited her. The Qur'an says that Muslims are allowed to marry the People of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) and Islam teaches you can be friends with any person regardless of their faith. Also, the Prophet Mohamed had non-Muslim friends and good relationships with them.
