For me is is the best choice when you have midi pedalboard control, i have G-Major 2 with Nove Drive ( and classic stomboxes like mxr phase 90 and JCM 900....) and you can play the music you want to always having a perfect tone.
I bought it on a Saturday and played on it until Tuesday. When I turned it on, it was dead, but the lights and buttons worked. I got a poping sound when I changed preset, but that's the only sound I got. I returned to the dealer and got a new one and have been very happy ever since. This pedal sounds fantastic! I am however disappointed with the quality, since several dealers reports that a huge percentage of the units has defects....
@bigfish0886 L6 is all digital, this has analog circuits. I bought the cheap new flashback delay and corona chorus which are both digital but still better than than L6 can be imo, but then again my pedalboard with 6 pedals is like 1400 bucks where as I could have had a m13 and a extension pedal for like 700, but i chose quality over quantity and to pay more but everyone has to make their choice. I have done L6 gear for many years and finally have it behind me!
It's not just a theory in my exp. I play this pedal in front of my solo50, I have the clean chan. volume at the breaking sweet spot.... the Nova competes VERY VERY well with even my OD9 and Lovepedal Eternity in terms of transparency of the original tone. It has replaced both tonebones in my rack for that exact reason. And that's on a solo50 which is certainly not known for it's clean tones and certainly does not break up as nicely as whatever this guy is playing through.
The nova drive is great indeed, but whatever amp that guy is playing through is already breaking up REALLY nice. Which only goes to show you how the nova drive integrates with the original tone and doesn't override it. Awesome clip.
is it for me? HAHAHAHA (NO)

Damn the Nova Drive sounds sick. I just ordered a Nova System so I'm really stoked to hear what it's got to offer.

@Crodon .. It's a demo .. the guy's just tweaking the unit to give us an idea of tonal variety .. he was a little busy about it though .. lol

Killer tones....

Overdrive, distortion and level knobs beyond 12 o'clock are a bit noisy. Mine does the same.
I would love to see a Nova Parametric Equalizer Pedal.

Never thought of it like that. Interesting theory.
