  • I'm new to Wicca and i hope to attend a Beltane Ritual! )0(

  • Not a long shot away from Bohemian Grove.

  • well i can understand why the used the notes, but..it should be more on teh fly, from the heart in my thoughts. But still!

  • That was really beautiful guys. <3

  • I don't really like how the words were read from a script, but it was quite interesting.

  • @ButterflysBox it's not necessary that you memorize everything. reading it from paper doesn't make it any less effective.

  • @knobylob reading this is kind a relief. thanks ^^

  • @Zalamedas you're very welcome.

  • @knobylob I know that, and I'm not saying that it's not effective. Who am I to judge? I'm simply saying that I myself find it better for ME to say what comes to my heart, not memorizing the words of others. However, I realize that there are different ways of doing things and for some people, that works better than improvising. Both are perfectly fine and equally magickal, I'm sure.

  • personally i dont like how it was read off of a script. all prayers, and all rites should be spoken from the heart, not from the ink.

  • @Magicksource how meney peapu ar thar goddess blessl

  • @magicksource how meney pepul

  • Although people have said that this looks 'forced', what made this really cool for me to watch was that everyone seemed, at least on the outside, pretty 'normal'. I love how everyone could come to this as they were. It makes me happy to know that this could be what I experience when I get older (I'm fifteen)- a community of people with the same interests. I can't wait!

  • @bombygriz You took the words right outta my mouth ! I'm also fifteen and can't wait to be able to travel and be surrounded by these people and their merry festivals. For now, I'm confined to keeping my faith fairly secretive, and only make altars for festivals. But I want to DANCE and chant with others like me. Have a REAL celebration! Blessed be, and let's hope we both find our places in the world :)

  • @xxXSweetMemoriesXxx it wont be long and iv danced the maypole and chanted in a bar and sang and danced at a bard live it was heavenly

  • except the dancing, people were enjoying themselves then. and the may prom king and queen thing was fun too lol

  • lol this whole thing was like a military drill XD especially the maypole

  • very talented indeed:0)

  • Too much exposition. Just *do* it, doin't tell us about it. Do we really have to be told that the maypole is fun? Does it have to be explained "what is customary?" Just *do* it. Think Catholic, not Protestant.

  • Happy Beltane one and all, please drop by my new folk/pagan music channel and say hi!

  • JoyofSatan . org

    Satan is god!

    Merry Beltane to you all!

  • I wish my religion practiced something like this...it looks so spiritual and invigorating! I enjoyed this video, thank you for posting. :)

  • wonderful.

  • umm im new to wicca but for what i have learned the high priestess and high priest should leard what they are suppose to say not read it and i personaly think she did that circle to fast just a personal thought

but the maypole ceremony looked like fun i havent bein able to be apart of it but im realy exited for this year ^_^

  • Me and my girlfriend are attending a maypole ceremony at a psychic shop this year. :3

  • I really wish they wouldn't read from the script. We are taught to memorize our rituals but also add our own little selves into it so it is made believable. Kind of frustrates me and hits me in a dark place when I see them reading because they are suppose to be experienced.

  • beutiful.may you all each one carry still the magic of the love of earth and all spirits.

thank you so much all of your efferts and deeds... much love.

  • I feel so lonely out here in Olympia, WA. I've always been a solitary practitioner, but mostly because I don't WORSHIP. I don't worship the people and things that I love, and I get questionable looks from the local pagan community because of that. Oh well. I does my heart good to see so many people joined in your community. Maybe I'll find a community of my own, one day. Blessed Be.

  • I wish I had that. A comunity I mean. The only other ive ever met is my friends boyfriend but he dosnt do elaberate rituals and most my other friends arnt interested in my practices.

  • Their wishes were so beautiful. :)

  • @tucazzoti and @rejester1234, clearly you both have been in each others places, and this is just a difference of opinion and what feels right individually, which in the end, is all it comes down to. the main thing I don't like about Christianity is their insistence on pressing their religion on others. Chances are, you will never meet each other in person, so what real difference does it make if you don't convert rejester1234 to your religion? In the end, you only have to worry about, don't you?

  • *laughs* The wreath fell!!

Wonderful ritual! Look confusing as I'll get out but also like a lot of fun!

  • Wicca is very bad because it has star pointing up, it should be pointing down for energy to go to the earth and replenish her.

    joyofsatan(dot)org

  • @viking403 Ummm? No it isn't bad. It represents each element. The satanic symbol (created way before satanism was wrought) has nothing to do with the original symbol representing the elements. The star pointing down actually was a symbol of the baphomet, a known idol of the religion "Satanism".

  • wonderful! since I just got my Coven started and made, I'm holding my first coven Beltane ritual this year, and I'm really happy everything worked out for you guys. I cant wait for our Beltane ritual this year! )O( Blessed Be!

  • hey rejester1234 did you expected the angels and God to come down from heaven while you were attending mass? they didn"t because they knew about your hypocrisy in your faith / heart ...is funny i used to practice wiccan and i perform these false rituals and i felt absolutely nothing i ended i a life similar to yours empty , but with a appearance of order, senssles but with with the illusion of being well planned , dissolute , but with an independent and modern appearance.

  • music is missing

  • At first i thought this was in California somewhere. Funny how the loose nuts slide all the way over to both coast.

  • Comment removed

  • okay, i may not be this religion, but im pretty sure that everything is pretty much forced it seems like..nobodys getting into it! i mean, whats the point if nobody seems to even be enjoying it. let loose some and relax and just let it come. peace

  • Wow, that looked fun! I could feel the energy just watching it! )O(

  • Dyke Ritual?

  • awwwe!!! The little girl in the fairie costume is so cuuttee!!!

  • @kataraokasan Aren't the itty bitties just the cutest ever?

  • i get frustrated sometimes that im not in a coven. im 13 and i cant start one with my friends (all jesus freaks). i guess i have to be solitary T^T

  • @Julirules209 There are alot of perks in being solitary. dont fret, you can create your own tradition, with your own deities, you arent restricted by the groups beliefs.

Not only that, but if youre meant to be in a coven, im sure the goddess will guide you too one. BB )0(

  • @Julirules209 I know what you mean, I'm a solitary but it does get frustrating sometimes, maybe try going to a local new-age shop and have a chat with the people who work there. I lalways find it nice to talk with like minded people :) who know's, you might just find your second family

  • @Julirules209 not kind to call your friends of a different faith "jesus freaks" and IMO you are far to young to be in a coven

  • Christians there is no judgment day you use that to put fear in others to believe in what you believe in.you don't know how to talk with others without mentioning your devil and you he'll.. You faith is so full of anger and hatred for those who don't believe in your god!! Wiccan and pagans were here long before you created your god!!

  • @moonraven9191 dude just shut up. im a christian and i DO NOT force stuff on others! and my faith is NOT full of anger and hatred! where did u get such a silly thing...and i DO know how to talk to others. dammit, i barely even mention hell. sounds like your the one with the religion issues here..and i honestly do not care that ur religion was here before christians formed theres or whatever..anyways. i liked this video. okay? now just stop being an asshole and posting these ridiculous comments!

  • If your a christian or whatever and you have a prob with vids like these, why on earth are you watching them? obviously they have no positive meaning to you. Pleas my mother is christian and she is more understanding then most christians I meet everyday. Stick with your christian spiritual vids if you do not like this one.

  • Looks like so much fun and so welcoming!!!

  • Y'all people need Jesus in your life...you really do. How are you going to explain all this witchcraft mess when you're standing at the gates on the Day of Judgement?

  • @sparky28546 This is a holiday, its not evil and these people are happy and their lives are going great. Obviously your jealous of how much fun and happiness they are having in their lives. They are happy and your just jealous. Maybe you should consider getting to know people before you judge them.

  • @luvbites23 Never give in to that sin and temptation lurking in the shadows..constantly strive towards that burning beacon on the distant horizon that is Christ our Risen Lord.

  • @sparky28546 Excuse me but Im wiccan and this is not some sin, its apart of my spirituality, This is not the way of spreading the word of god if that is your intention. I mean no disrespect but Im not evil, my religion is not evil and people like that are not evil. Its not a temptation its part of spirituality. Christianity or any religion like that is not right for everyone. Yes he is your rising lord, but I don't feel the same, and this is part of my life. Blessed be )O(

  • I think its cool you have such a large community to do your rituals with very cool!

  • That looked like so much fun, great video

  • WoW Look how many people, cool

  • this looks more like Reclaiming than Wicca to me.. but that might just be my mistake ^^ .

  • Nice vid!:D blessed be )O(

  • ive watched this video 2 times it looks like there having a good life :0

  • these people are trying to be wiccan........ they fail

  • okay, what is with all the shouting at the top of your lungs? that's so embarrassing. I can't watch any of the videos from the temple of astral light...you know, shouting as loud as you can doesn't make you cool. Reading off of scripts bothers me too, although I understand why you might have too. But as for the loud shouting business you guys constantly do, I think it's just plain irreverent and it drives me up the wall-I'm not going to watch another video from you guys. it's embarrasing.

  • this is why i want to find a coven so badly! this looks sooo fun!

  • This is NOT Wicca. I don't know who theses people are pretending to be, but this is NOT Wicca.

  • @UthorEsse I think I agree... mainly because it says "Corellian Nativist Church"...I've never known of a wiccan church... I could be wrong lol I thought we used covens lol

  • @TheBritniChannel Or called ourselves "Reverend"...or only did the fuzziest part of anything...or broadcast our ceremonies on Youtube! We are from an esoteric path. To boradcast our true rituals would be antithetical. Who ARE these people?

  • @UthorEsse i have no clue but I really don't think they are wiccan O.o

  • @TheBritniChannel CNT is just another tradition of neo-pagainsim/wicca...CNT is more public than other traditions, even have a museum of witches in salem, mass. But it is no less wiccan than any other tradition.

  • @UthorEsse But they think it's wicca..what's wrong with that?

  • CRUCIO!!

    SECTUMSEMPTRA!

  • you know the cool part and i dont know if ppl have said this but when they face the air way the wind picks up

  • Have a bright and blessed Beltane!

  • Ladies and Geants, I give you: Fluffy at it's worst.

  • Celts that celebrate Beltane didn´t read anything, Celts has not writing by their own, Celts didn´t read texts in the festivals, wiccans are a vulgar copy and melting of a lot invented and a few real traditions that make no sense, if you want rebuild a pagan religions be respectuous with the historic points.

  • temple of baphomet . com / festivals.html

  • that was lovely. that was a really lovely circle and I'm so glad everyone shared it with us. I can't wait for bealtaine

    x

  • this was amazing. thank you for sharing this with us

    )O( Blessed Be

  • @KrystenJanice

    temple of baphomet . com

    Beltane?

  • 1:03 Dale Gribble in the black shirt there.

  • well, that was adorable. i'd like to do that with a whole bunch of people one of these times... but some of them didn't even look like they were having any fun! haha. or maybe didn't feel like dancing.

  • Blessed be.

    A wonderful day.

Thank you for sharing this video.

    )O(

  • Thats alot of wiccans

  • Ive seen the actual Beltane Fire Festival, quite impressive. But the greatest expression of the Northern peoples in modern days is The Nordic Up Helly Aa

  • I agree a little with the fact that it's a little scripted -- & although we practice secrecy I pray that someday the world will know how amazing Wicca truly is & how loving & caring the God & Goddess are -- & videos like this are speeding that up!

It's quite late, but, Happy Beltaine everyone! Blessed Be! )0( & Happy Mabon in a month or so!

  • This particular event seems so forced to me; people are reading off scripts instead of looking at each other, and reacting too late when they realize what they just said was supposed to be directed at someone, or said with emotion.

I'm not trying to say everything has to be spontaneous or crazy, but most of these participants seem half-hearted and inhibited, while one lady overcompensates trying to get everyone into it.

What's preventing the joy, energy and real magic of free enthusiasm?

  • It might be because they're trying to look serious or something.

I also script my rituals, but I only use what I write as guidelines, I don't do it like a parrot.

  • @bKiwiD I really have to agree with you. it seems almost stiff like most rites i have been appart of are more flowing.

  • temple of baphomet . com

  • @bKiwiD what do you think the priests and what not do... THEY READ OUT OF THE BIBLE!!! do you realy think half the people that go to church even read the bible!?!? HELL NO. Anyways the bible is based off of the Samarian bible which was created 2,000 years before the bible even existed. DO RESEARCH!!! instead of becoming just another blind sheep.

  • @bKiwiD All religions work off scripts, example: Christmas Nativity, the holy mass in the catholic church on sundays. The congregation absorb it in their own life and they always seem to be more concerned with what the next one is doing. Here we are a group and we are also absorbing this very spiritual ritual.

Don't judge lest he be judged... Merry meet and merry part

  • @bKiwiD Not enough sex! Beltane is about fertility and all that juicy sacred greenwood marriage stuff ! The maypole dance was like watching a boot camp exercise class!

It's hard to raise energy when you are reading from a script.

  • @bKiwiD I completely agree, in our circle, everything is off book, you have to memorise it. Can you imagine doing the first part of the rune and power raising off a sheet of paper? utterly fail.

  • And, awe, that little girl is so cute!

  • Does anyone know of rituals like this that take place in Arizona?

  • I am trying to find out what she is saying to bless the people and what she is using to put on ther foreheads. =)

    Becomming Wiccan (( Teen ))

    )0( Blessed be )0(

On more questions, are children under the age of 18, if they choose to follow the path of Wiccan, allowed to join a circle?

  • It depends on the circle itself, however most legitimate ones wont accept anyone under 18 unless a parent or legal guardian consents and/or accompanies them.

  • stop yelling at one another about stuff like this rather you christian or pagan your not going to feel anything unless you truly believe in it

i feel nothing special in christian religion and im starting to look at pagan and its feeling much more fulfilling to me but that dosent mean its better for everyone your faith is in you and what ever you accept is the one that will give you power rather it be threw energys of the universe or the power of god both will be blocked if you don't believe...

  • I'm a solitary who sometimes practices with a couple other people for divination.

Anyone else notice how loud the wind gets when they call upon East?

  • I kNow it's like the east is saying I hear you and I have come. OOO GOOSEBUMPS.

  • Hey tucazzoti... Did you know that Christianity is based off of Pagan religion??? Do your research! We do worship the God and Goddess. Its not our fault that the church doesn't acknowledge the divine feminine. I used to belong to the catholic church, and I felt ABSOLUTELY NOTHING while attending mass. In fact, God NEVER answered any of my prayers. Now that I am Wiccan, I am spiritually fulfilled. Just because we don't believe in fearing and worshiping ONE GOD that doesn't make s wrong...

  • @redjester1234 Thank you:)

  • @redjester1234 awesome reply, Yes I too believe there are two

higher beings. One representing Female the Other Male, or some

believe more than two beings, which is Awesome too!* )O(

    Blessed Be!

  • @redjester1234 Actually, Christianity (or their version of it) was added to Paganism by the Roman empire. They figured if they couldn't beat Jesus, why not join him, it was a good way to keep everyone happy without losing power. The Roman Catholic church is a wonderful mixured of Pseudo-Christianity and Paganism. Christianity did not stem from Paganism. Jesus warned people to not have anything to do with it.They have nothing in common.

  • @redjester1234 it is based off of paganism.and christianity doesnt appricate the feminine aspect and hates gays and hates everything thats not christian.and you wonder why soo many people are leaving christianity

  • @redjester1234

i am in agreement with you redjester1234... many religions are based off paganism so that the transition would be easier. they pray to their saints just like we do our gods and goddesses. i also used to b catholic and of my own free will changed. marry ye meet and marry ye part

  • @redjester1234

Not only is christianity based off of the eldests of paganism, It also comes from all over the world. The egg is a symbol of fertility, and so is the rabbit. Easter bunny, anyone? The time of christmas Is right next to our candlemas. They've evolved all of our teachings to their own, along with all the other teachings they've "stolen".

But please, don't try to make them understand. All they'll do is say that you're lying and that they've brainwashed you or some crap like that.

  • @redjester1234 true that

  • Wiccans do worship the same God, and worship the famale Godess as well, if that what God created is also holy, why not worship that?

  • Don't take offense to the religion tucazzoti, the reason we can't worship "God" is not a matter of ignorance, it's simply that while for you it may be easier to see one being as having created all, for others the things that we see and feel are sacred, tangibly and before our eyes, are what we hold most revered. Neither is wrong, but it's how we are. I personally feel nothing in church trying to comprehend a God that is so omniprescent he may as well not exist.

  • They dont worship the moon/ the forest or the neighbor's rabbit. We witches worship the nature and the God(male) and Goddess(female) that created everything on the great plant called earth. The moon was created by the goddess for us witches to draw on its energy in times of need and same goes for the sun. The forest and every living thing including the neighbor's rabbit is sacred to us Wiccans. Now like i said before we Witches do worship the the one who created everything The Goddess.

  • i am sorry if i was not making sence. I was just saying that all living things are sacred to us and that we worship the God(male) and the Goddess(female) of everything on the earth.

  • I have never heard of a Wiccan that worshiped the moon, a forest, or a rabbit. According to their tradition they worship a God and Goddess or a pantheon with a primary God and Goddess.

I'm not sure if even a Druid worships a forest...

  • The God and Godess ARE nature...

  • @princessbabe1313

    temple of baphomet . com

    Beltane?

  • In wicca, the moon symbolizes the goddess and the sun symbolizes the god. They worship the forest because it is the earth (one of the 5 elements) and, in some strains, is seen as the mother goddess also. And Druids do worship the forest.

  • @Shilastyle Sorry, about that. when I asked a group of Wiccans on Beliefnet as while ago if they did worship animals or plants or trees or the moon in and of themselves I was told in no uncertain terms that they did not. That rather it was what these things represented in a spiritual sense that they worshiped. But I do stand corrected.

  • @Jayjen35

    temple of baphomet . com

    this is what they do...

  • @IfunkY1 Well, admittedly I know very little about Satanic faiths.

  • @Jayjen35 That´s nothing to concern with satanism, that´s not christian, that´s not an Asian original religion as christianism, that performs as a European pagan cult

  • It's not a cult, it's a religion.

  • now, which definition of cult are you referring to? because the only definition of cult which applies to Wicca would also apply to most other faiths

  • Wow, you're ignorant.

  • cult /kʌlt/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [kuhlt] Show IPA

noun 1. a particular system of religious worship, esp. with reference to its rites and ceremonies.

    2. an instance of great veneration of a person, ideal, or thing, esp. as manifested by a body of admirers: the physical fitness cult.

    3. the object of such devotion.

    4. a group or sect bound together by veneration of the same thing, person, ideal, etc.

  • 5. Sociology. a group having a sacred ideology and a set of rites centering around their sacred symbols.

    6. a religion or sect considered to be false, unorthodox, or extremist, with members often living outside of conventional society under the direction of a charismatic leader.

    7. the members of such a religion or sect.

  • 8. any system for treating human sickness that originated by a person usually claiming to have sole insight into the nature of disease, and that employs methods regarded as unorthodox or unscientific.

by your definition you would be referring to no. 6, however, Wicca has no leader, unlike your pope we have no central figure we look to as all are equal.

Try doing some research first before you start shouting your mouth off about stuff you don't understand

  • Wow! wrong on ALL counts! Seriously, don't get your religion, much less arguments against other people's religion from a Chick Tract or Tract-like source...

  • i saw 4 homeless at downtown s.f. performing the same ritual...

  • thats not how you celebrate Bealtaine

  • All of these people... amazing!

  • if you dont believe it in then why are you watching this video unless you are only here to pick fights and that is rather pathetic my friend

  • that's nice go spew your negativity somewhere else

  • i agree with you completely. Finally, somebody with a little sense

  • tucazzoti,in you're profile you say "don't judge the book by it's cover" i think you should eat those words.Blessed Be )0(

  • wonderful work!

    blessed Be

  • Wow. how nice to have a beltane ritual with somemany people. hmpf sometimes I really hate it to be a solarity wiccan. :]

  • Nice work! Blessed be!

  • I loved this. Very few of my friends and I celebrated Beltane. It's amazing to know that so many follow the wonderful Wiccan faith, be they old, young, plump, petite, short, tall...there is no limitation. Blessed be!

  • I hope you all had a Blessed Beltane ;; I wish I was part of a Coven instead of being solitary

  • Comment removed

  • Blessed Beltane!

  • Blessed Beltaine everyone!

Hopefully tomorrow it won't be raining so I may spend some time outside XD

  • happy Beltane everyone!

    Blessed Be! )O(

  • Where is the music? The May Pole dance would have been much nicer with fun Celtic music. Drum beats are just annoying!

I will always be a solitary witch.

  • hmm... overweight-ness is a problem nowadays but I guess it doesn't end the world if a wiccan is fat. After all. Most of the rest of us are fat aswell.

  • My all have a Blessed Beltane ^^

    Blessed Be.

  • This makes we want to be in a coven so bad. They are having so much fun.

  • me too! I can't find any in my area and the online ones are hard to follow. I wanted to start one with friends but none of them are that into it.

  • I know how you guys feel none of my friends are Wiccan and being solitary gets lonely sometimes

  • I'm solitary too. I only have one friend at school who's Wiccan.

  • HAPPY BELTANE, blessed be all of you

  • Have a Blessed Beltane!!

BTW I always liked watching your (Temple of Astral Light) rites. I was just wondering, what path of Wicca do you follow? Are you Correllian?

    BB

  • Everyone have a Blessed Beltane! :)

  • Beltane in 2 days :D

  • Wiccans (Pagans/Neopagans) don't believe in Satan, much less worship him. So in that light, no May 1st isn't a Satanic Holiday.

Know your facts before you hate. :/

  • boooooring, what's about joy and happynes? this sounds like a funeral!

  • Some aspects of a church service are not all that bad.

Fellowship is something many people value.

Simply because these people value the same kind of thing does not mean they are any less spiritual. Not everybody can adhere to the more complex practices. Keep in mind, those can often feel nice and "evolved", but spiritual preferences develop and recede in different ways. It is mostly individualistic, and the effectiveness is not compromised.

  • I agree and disagree. I don't like organized rituals if they are meaningless. Like if its all rehearsed and really has no true significance. But if everyone can feel the energy and happiness and not just saying words, then I approve of it.

  • that was beautiful and amazing sadly i have yet to join a coven to do it with lol blessed be and thanks again!!

  • he he. :)

I just love to think of someone looking out their window and seeing you guys and thinking, what on EARTH are these weirdos doing??? bwahaha. Happy early Beltane and Blessed Be. :) Thanks for sharing.
