congratulations!!! tryed to gather the parts for this rig, but failed misserably. loved the series, and i have my kitcoming in the mail from HSC also. as well, i bought the 40 & 80 meter crystall. hope to "see" youon the air waves some time soon.

Yeah, I built a 20 Meter Rockmite and really enjoy it a lot. I don't have a regular HF rig and I too am learning CW at an advanced age (50)!

Have you heard about the online book "Zen and the Art of RadioTelegraphy"?

Thanks for your comments. I know what you mean about learning CW, I'm 60 and it's been difficult to say the least. The book you mentioned has helped, but I suggest you get on the air and 'muddle' through.

Thanks for watching. These are easy kits to build, however after building the Rockmite, it is a MUCH better QRP rig.

The Pixie is pretty much a bare bones radio and does not offer tuning. However, I’ve ran across some web sites that did a mod that allowed some slight tuning.

Enjoyed watching this series of videos--nice job! Why did you listen to the output of the Pixie on 7.04 when the crystal was for 14.060? Did yo swap crystals?
