  • Out of a great soul came a great sound. Clarence's sax was k.i.s.s. and we all knew exactly why he was not leading some jazz band somewhere. Thank you for making our worlds a little better, big man.

  • por qué ya no la tocan así??????????

  • why was this show not on a dvd, its great

  • Well, I have to say that this is my favorite version of Badlands. I have a few cds with Badlands on it, live and studio version, but I this is still the best. Especially the part in the beginning at 0:18-0:34 and 4:10 till the end.

Just love the guitar and drum sound there.

  • Me too. It may not be as high quality as the original of this song, but you have to say it's got a good, unique sound to it.

  • My favorite Springsteen song, and unfortunately,I feel that it is the lone song that he has never been able to create a live version for that was better then the studio.

  • I totally agree. His studio version of this song blows away all his live versions. I'm glad there's someone out there who agrees with me.

  • I must disagree, Badlands is the most powerful and crowdgoing song live.

The bridge with the "ooohh ohh oooh" to hear a stadium with 60 000 people shout there is quite empowering!

  • Well I have no doubt that the crowd loves it and would sing along regardless, as would I, all I'm saying is that I think his voice is perfect in the stuido version and hes never quite been able to replicate that live for this song.

  • I disagree. Bruce has "created" numerous BRILLIANT live versions of Badlands, renditions that rival the original. Have you ever heard the live recording from the Agora Ballroom show, August, 1978? Or, more recently, from the St. Louis show, August, this year? The studio version is classic, no doubt: the booming drums, the wall of wound, vastly different than recording norm of the 70s. Badlands is a great song. The original studio version is great, as are many live versions as well.

  • aslo the guitar and sax playing off eachother has more "oomph" live

  • they rocked that shit

that's my favorite bruce springsteen song ever

  • where was this?...and 1995? the band was still dissolved.

    pretty hot version

  • They briefly reunited for Greatest Hits, then split until 2000

  • thats my absolutely favorite song from Bruce Springsteen and the album version from the best of album is my absolute favorite. Thanks Bruce for your work for the poor and helpless american people. Bruce you're an absolutely great man.

  • "So get Straight!!!"

  • lol funny story about this song. so we had to read this chapter in egnlish called Badlands for homework. So the next day we had a homework check and to give us a time limit, our English teacher gave us to the end of this song to finish. Then later he asked what song it was and I was the only one who knew.

MORAL: No one knows Bruce Springsteen anymore. Isn't that pathetic?

  • Dude that's really cool homework..

I don't do much homework but if that's my homework I would not do anything else..a great tip to my teacher maybe..

  • I'd say Bruce' music is for people, but people often appreciate it only when they get older... So don't worry, the older you get, the more fans of him you'll meet.. :) And at that time it will be your kids with 'Badlands' homework :D

  • O.K...I`m a drunken bum...maybe even a Dharma Bum..But still I``d love to spit in the face!

  • Maybe i like this version better. Musta been the same era of "Youngstown`` Like...Right Now!

  • looser

  • Go Bruce it's your birthday, AWESOME!!!

  • very good version i absolutely agree with pluggen7. i think the concert in hamburg will be great. the Boss forever

  • i have to say it too very nice version but where is the public? they dosen´t sing.. :S

  • Check out Bruce's live in New York HBO Speical DVD, that's the best version of Badlands ever.

  • Nice version!

  • Just great

  • this rocks hard...good shit.

  • coolest arena song ever next to born to run& born in the usa

  • Boss is the best for ever!
