Of the deaths throughout Lost, I found Daniel's the most frustrating after the death of Ethan. He really helped make sense of the time travel, helped me to understand what was probably the show's most complex season, and I think he was probably among the top 5 characters on the show (along with Ben, Locke, Desmond, and Sawyer. Jack was the hero and really the main character, but I found these other guys more interesting.)

I'm re-watching the series on dvd and I'm at this episode, and there's something that's really bothering me. If Daniel Faraday dies in 1977, how does he parachute down to the island in 2004??? Please somebody explain this.....

Even though his death technically happened before his arrival (if you're going by the chronological order of things), his experiences in 2004 came first to him, due to the time-jumping that began in the Season 4 finale.

Thats why she puts so much effort for all of them to comeback to the island. She wants to make sure that EVERYTHING will happen exactilly as already happened once.

@AsianGirl4Life3 Because otherwise the time stream gets fucked up. Think of time as a line, it goes from 0AD to the present and along the way 1977. Faraday is there and he is shot by his Mum (unknowing its her son). She gets his journal and realises Faraday went back in time. She works out the Island did this so she presses him to go along with it. There he goes back in time, gets shot and time-stream is ok. Whatever happened happened right? You got any other questions I can help with?

Keamy's death was a shame, cause his character was really good, but I think it was still appropriate.

I'm sort of noticing that every season has its own sub-villains (Keamy, Pickett, Mikhail, etc.), which I like. It sets each season apart a little more.
