It's a revisionist myth that the ancient Jews of Israel were all dark haired and darkish skinned. Ancient Jews were noted for having red or reddish hair (King David is a classic example). I loved this song sience I was a littel girl and I am now 27 years old and still love this song. it makes me cry. I remember my grandma had musicial jingel bells on her door we would go threw and I would always chang the song to this one on it. I would climb in to a chair to get it or open and close the door till that song came on. lol i was only like 6 years old at the time.
