I would be so scared to drive around knowing blind people are driving, with a freaking dog as their guide.

It has nothing to do with discrimination (wow, I really messed that word up). It's safety. You have to be able to see to drive. That's why they have all those laws about headlights and such. If the person cannot see, how can you expect them to be able to stop in time to save that little kid in the middle of the road, or to stop the car in time to not go over the cliff?

I have a blind friend and he's very capable of driving. Aswell as a guide dog, they do get a computer... somewhat like a satnav which will warn them what their doing etc...

They ask on the forms but it's up to the applicant to fess up. The ones that scare me the most are the ones allowed to drive trucks carrying twenty tons of hazardous material.
