@andrewtcombs Whats the point of dualbooting?? If you have Mac OSX installed on your PC, download and install VMWare Fusion! :) You can boot Windows 7, Ubuntu, and any other OS! And its much faster than using VMWare WorkStation for Windows! :) Hope you take this to consideration! Hope this helps!!! xD

@andrewtcombs i cant assure u since i've never succeeded instaling OS X but as i read if u install win 7 after OS x you wont be able to see the choice before it log in to 7 but when u do the EasyBCD it will show up and it will work fine so dont worry as long as u r sure ur OS X working fine before installing win 7

What Chameleon version is the one with a white background and all white and when I click on SnowLeo (HDD w/ Mac name), I have to type -v -f -x cpus=1 then verbose boot and that takes about 10 minutes and it loads in 'safe boot' and I got this one version from a friend and all I had to do is go to SnowLeo and hit enter and it loads the files and everything instantly.

Hi dude, great GUIDE! Can I ask you a question? I installed Snow vanilla on my msi wind using the guide of the insanelywind forum (I already had a partition with Win 7 Pro). The "EFI Finisher" package has installed Chameleon RC4, well, the question is: Should I sobstitute the boot folder as you did in the guide? Or should I just fix the boot0 as you described?

Does this still work if you install the OS's on two different drives? When I install Win7 and then SL with Empire I cant boot into SL Win7 starts and I try to use EasyBCD but it does not work. How do I get cameleon to boot first so I can dual boot Win7 and SL. Cameleon does not show up first.

@mrhozer Ok nevermind I read some of the comments below (as I should before). So yes I only needed ONE of these programs to work, I went with chameleon. So in leopard I just installed chameleon, made sure it installed to the mac partition, and left everything else at default. Then replaced the boot file as you showed, Restarted and chameleon came up :) I didn't get a boot error (though I did do the terminal fixes on an earlier attempt so that might have been a factor) Awesome Vid Thanks a LOT!

Hey! update: i am not really sure but now it´s working! heres the deal, at power on, the laptop boots chameleon RC4, presenting both choices: win7 and snow leo. When i choose win7, the next screen is windows boot manager, is that normal or can i get rid of that? by the way, when i tried to modify on easybcd, it says that there is no windows partition and the shuts down, whats up with that?

When it ask my password I can't write. But the boot menu is working. When i press Enter to the Mac HD the booting is start, but there is a "No parking" (I don't know how can i say in english, in hungarian: "Várakozni tilos") road sign on the apple. What is the problem?

You can try it, because the Empire Efi is based on Chameleon.

If all is ok, you can boot without Empire Efi!

For a start the video is very good!

But I have a question.

So, I am going to install only a Snow Leopard to my pc. Not Dualmode, only mac! :D

I have installed it, with this steps:

1. I booted the Retail Install DVD with Empire EFI.

2. I installed the system, everythink is fine!

(I have Intel Core 2 processor )

And I can't cast of the booting. When I am going to login my system, I must put in the Empire EFI disc to my drive.

Well, i installed windows first (1st partition Windows 7, 2nd Partition Data) and osx on the 3rd partition. After installing Chameleon in Snow Leopard and rebooting, Chameleon just doesn't show up, i just get the blinking cursor.

Any suggestions? Been trying to fix this error for weeks

I used this with snow leopard and when I selected its I got the loading screen and it gave me a kernal panic. I can boot but with a boot-132 disc and the sl install disc which a real pain! :-(  hope you can help :-)

i can only boot to osx with my flash drive.

now i get osx/xp on vista bootloader. if i choose xp, it's fine, but osx, none. after installing chameleon like in your guied, i at least get a menue, but when i select osx, i get the wheel of death. any idea?

Have you tried Kalyway, iaktkos, ideneb? I use kalyway and it works just fine. Windows disk is the disk that you have the operating system on. Be sure when you install any mac operating system that you get the drivers that fit yout computer.
