  • that was beautiful!!!

  • Lovely!

  • HOLY FUCK. My name is Hanna O'Neil, how ironic xD

  • I know her personally, and she has been accepted into Paris Opera. :D

  • Absolutely lovely!

  • does anyone know where she's trained?

  • @nicolezly

    Mostly in New Zealand

  • @nicolezly she is trained @ mount eden ballet acdemy

  • @nicolezly Mt Eden Ballet Academy in Auckland, New Zealand.

  • i think after this its fair to say i suck

  • Good technique, but the choreography doesn't do her justice. It's too repetitive..

  • @s3rvana its a variation from La Bayadere. You dont get to change the choreography.

  • @ABallet2013 But it wasn't compulsory to do this variation, right? Could have done something else..

  • @s3rvana They all have to do a variation and the list of variations for 15/16 year olds isn't very big. This is quite a difficult variation but she is so good she makes it look very easy which is the difference between a good dancer and a truly great dancer.

  • @ABallet2013 Thats what I liked about this. It didnt seem so over calculated, she just glided through like a true professional.

  • ben là chui jalouuuuuse :D

  • Une danseuse très élégante.

If she has been accepted by the Paris Opera Ballet jury after being auditionned among more than an hundred candidates, you can be sure that she has demonstrated that she is more than a good technician.

Let's hope she is able to live and stand a fierce competition so far away from her home, family and friends.

She will have to prove that she also has a great mental strengh. If she does, then she will be rewarded.

  • BEAUTIFUL!! she has that natural little something that makes a good dancer an amazing dancer

  • well she has now done the near impossible...she has got a contract with the Paris Opera Ballet....she will go straight from her graduation at the Australian Ballet School. Amazing.

  • Are you serious!?!? Then she really will be like Guillem! That IS amazing!

  • shes awesome!!! I thought a lot of people are good but when u see her dance it loks even better!! Its so natural and light and good to watch!!

it doesnt make me feel itchy

  • OMG my ive got the exact same name as her and ive got brown hair to

  • She gives me the impression that she's lighter than a feather.. Beautfiul dancing!

  • i love her elegant poise. there's no rush in her dancing.

  • i love her feet!!!!

  • Lovely

  • when they say ballet has to look easy, shes it.

  • GOOOOOOO HANNAHHHHHHHHHHH!

  • Beautiful! Very inspirational! :))

  • She's got incredible form, her pointe is almost perfect. She is inspirational.

  • nice hands!

  • She has great potential. Awesome extensions but she needs to work on her port de bras. You can tell when she's focusing on her extensions, her arms get stiff.

  • her legs are gorgeous! :)

  • i think everyone over-reacts about Hannah O'Neill, i didnt enjoy it as much as Zhaoqian Peng

  • Crazy to think i may be competing against her. I gotta work harder to get to her level

  • BEST DANCER!

  • Good!

  • half of the views are mine, I think

  • she's good! her contemporary variation is equally beautiful :)

  • さすが優勝しただけのことはある。ハプニングも乗り越えて凄い人だと思います。

    王者の踊りハンパない…。

  • she deserves gold. :D

  • awesome!

  • She has nice lines, but she doesn't show off much actual dancing with this variation.

  • This girl is beautiful! Her dance is a dream! Love the attitudes beginning at 1:07. Beautiful en-dehors legs!

  • weightless and beautiful just as it should be!!

  • Just beautiful!

  • this girl is 15??? Oh my goodness she's good!! like professional type good!!

  • She's actually 16 in this video. I like her contemporary piece better, but she is definitely amazing!

  • amazing technique and expression!

  • You make us Kiwi's proud Hannah! xxx

  • @ l0ls0m3b0dy: yes, i think the same, too. Zhaoqian was marvellous.

  • don't like her arms in the attitudes, they should be more clear and not too soft. but she is very good!

  • Comment removed

  • In my humble opnion, I thought Zhaoqian Peng should have gotten the first prized, based on the performances in front of a live audience. Perhaps Hannah O'Neill did generally better as it was judged based on the classes as well.

  • omgd! thank you!!!!!! agree!!! 100%

  • The winner is judged over a wide selection of criteria, including their classwork, interviews and their potenial for a professional career as well as their performances.

  • Yes I know that. I said Zhaoqian Peng should have gotten the first prize, based on the PERFORMANCES IN FRONT OF A LIVE AUDIENCE (only).

  • l0ls0m3b0dy 9 international major company and school directors who adjudicated this competition agreed, unanimously that she was the winner. I am sure they got it right as they know more than all of us. Often alot of the artistic interpretation and the excitment of a particular perfomance is lost when you are not present at live performance. They were all impressed by her strength, control and x-factor quality.

  • She actually got the first prize

  • gorgeous! She has such good dance quality and very tidy technique and great extentions! And she's only 16!

  • Perfect!

  • She is just lovely!
