tha'ts not good that the smoke alarm doesn't work.. a couple people died becuase they took it off, and when they were sleeping something was burning, and their house caught on fire, and another one is when they were sleeping, gas was escaping, and their smoke alarmm wasn't on, and they died from running out of oxygen. if it rang they would've woke up and put out the fire before, or evacuate the house and call 911

i agree but in my house the smoke alarm goes off every night due to the heat backfiring so basically we never know
