For those who are concerned that this car isn't a Yugo, here's an explanation. Yugos are fairly rare nowadays. When they first came out in the mid-80's, they were sold for $1,999!!!....a disposable car.
You get what you pay for, so you drove them till they needed a major repair, then threw them away (40-50Kmi). Almost all were sent to the crusher before 2000.
I'm sure the makers of this video would have liked to use a real Yugo, but just couldn't find one.

No one is anti-environment; we are against more government regulation, taxes and hysteria based upon theories and consenses', not hard science.
The EPA emission mandates of 2004, '07 and '10 have absolutely killed the commercia diesel industry. Diesels like in big trucks and pickup trucks are much more expensive and get about 10-20% less fuel mileage due to the new emissions stuff. You can suck on the tailpipe, but you are using much more fuel, what sense does that make?

Would you like to know about environmental regulations? People in large portions of Pennsylvania have had their right to subdivide any land taken away under the "Clean and Green" actions. Down here in Florida, people with a sighting of a scrub-jay on their land cannot build on it (Houses or otherwise).

Whoever says you are gay for driving a Toyota Prius is a blockhead. However, I can tell you that you're NOT being environmentally friendly by driving one nor efficient, considering the energy, time and materials required for the Prius system compared to a regular car. Economic efficiency is JUST as important, if not more, than energy efficiency. Keep that in mind.

Just because it gives you better mileage does not mean it is more environmentally-friendly, the cost and time to manufacture the batteries alone involving more emissions than for a normal vehicle. You just consider emissions when driving, not taking into account those created at manufacture.

It's not simply "right-wing" objections - there are economic reasons and ethical reasons to object to such regulations, to begin with: they cannot be tested for their effectiveness.

I am not a Republican, but I detect a fallacy in your comment - being against regulatory mandates purported to "protect" the environment does not make one anti-environment. Most regulations do not actually help the environment, actually making the cost of entry higher for competing companies (most regs being proposed by Big Corporations). See how GE is such in bed with Obama for a current example. Don't be so cavalier about it.

For those who are concerned that this car isn't a Yugo, here's an explanation. Yugos are fairly rare nowadays. When they first came out in the mid-80's, they were sold for $1,999!!!....a disposable car.
You get what you pay for, so you drove them till they needed a major repair, then threw them away (40-50Kmi). Almost all were sent to the crusher before 2000.
I'm sure the makers of this video would have liked to use a real Yugo, but just couldn't find one.
