I think Neil Diamond is great! but Elvis did write some of his own songs and they were hits as well!! and he even choregraphed the famous Jailhouse Rock scene in the movie, which people who were hired to do but could not !!!
Was at Hampden park in Glasgow on Saturday, the guy is amazing, my fiancee was at the same venue the week before seeing take that and she said neil was far better.
Well, nearly 40 years after being moved by Neil's music in my teens I finally got to see him in Birmingham (UK) last Thursday! As a thriteen-year-old I never imagined he'd still be performing when I was 52! And performing so brilliantly.
A phenomenal talent. He sings to thousands at a concert, He sings to millions over the decades. But he has always sounded as though he's singing just to ME, and still will ... Not many singers have that special gift.
This is one of those songs I really wish I could sing, but I can't. I break down crying every time I try. This song is just so brilliant and beautiful!

I have loved him since i was 12 and im 58 now and im sitting here tonight listening to this and just hearing his beautiful voice brings back all that crazy love crush feeling ive always had for him. Just looking at those beautiful eyes of his makes me fall in love all over again! Its crazy!

Neil has such beautiful range in his voice and is indeed 'doing it' for me!
This is great to see him look and sound so good. The only thing that could have made this even better is if Dame Shirley who was at the Roundhouse the year before would have been his guest and sang this duet with him again. If you have not seen it, look it up on YT it is simply on fire! They sound and look wonderful together. They would be even more amazing now!
Fantastic!! He still looks very much 'playable'! The song has another quality to it now that he is older,almost better. Don't you all think so too...the ladies in the audience certainly do....they won't hesitate!

Great showmanship! Reminds me of Sinatra the way he is so comfortable on stage and really feels what he is singing. An awesome talent for sure.
