@stevetheurkmanurkel From the Razor website: *Scaled down dirt bike design carries riders up to 175LBS! *Can travel up to 10 miles on a single charge! *High torque motor *Hand operated rear brake *Retractable kickstand *36V (three 12V) sealed lead acid battery system *Powerful 500w electric motor *Battery charge time: 8 hours *Up to 40 minutes of continuous use
@OKCDan1 DON'T GET A BAJA!! they are made from low quality chinese parts and are known for unreliability. if hes 14, id reccomend a Yamaha TTR-125 or a honda XR100R. im 5'10 140 and 13 yrs old and i ride a '99 XR100R. they say XR stands for Xtra Reliable, i totally agree.
Sheesh, I would certainly hope so! You're comparing apples to oranges my friend. A CRF 80, retailing for around $2100.00, has an internal combustion engine coupled to a 5-speed gearbox. The Razor MX500 in this video is a $299.00 starter bike with a single speed direct drive electric motor. The ONLY similarity whatsoever is how they look.
@seansee1 Higher watt motor and take it up a notch on the volts I.E. Add another 12v battery to its existing 24v dual 36v tri battery setup. If u go 2x the existing volts you will need a new throttle control box. When u get your new higher watt electric motor around 50-75 bucks use the existing spoke to make sure chain fits and your done.
it also depens on the track if its alot of quick turns and tight transition then yes but a more mellow spred out ttr might win cuz my 65 sucked ass on bigger tracks versus ttrs and 150s
Well im not sure I agree. A stock kx65 has about 16.5 hp vs 8.5 in the ttr-125. Maybe your KX was really geared for torque or something. I know what with stock gearing the KX goes about 50 and the TTR goes like 45.
id say the 65 depending on how good of a rider you are if they are the same rider than the 65 it is just eisier to handle so mush lighter and more power and ya the track size does matter but still the 65
I would take the 65 over the ttr anyday and im 20 years old haha. If you had 2 equal riders, one on the 65 and one on the ttr, the 65 will win everytime hands down.
my cr80rb would woop both the ttr and the 65 and ya i no it is pretty odvious but my honda beats a 2001 kx85 completely modded was raced in nationals and my 80 is BONE stock the ring are still origanal since new in 96 it even beats a modded 400ex that has a 405 kit in it and tons of race parts but just remember this one thing - if it dont have wings it dont fly - team honda
nice, and i think i like the kawi a little more but i can't say cuz i own both a kawasaki klx 140 and a honda xr70r. i love both. gonna save probably for a suzuki rm85 too.
oh just to let you know its how good the rider is.....if you can beat someone whos on a 125 or a 250 etc than that means the guy your racing with is terrible and shouldnt ride.....haha race someone with talent if you think you got skills (me for instance)
Ummmm, let's see..... a 2003 KX 65, MSRP of $2849.00 with a 65 cc liquid cooled, 2 stroke single cylinder powerplant coupled to a 6 speed transmission... has front & rear hydraulic disc brakes.......... compared to a tiny motocross style starter bike with an electric single speed motor that sells for $299.00 ----- Well, yeah... I sure hope your Kawasaki could win a race :)
Yes, they're electric, and I never tried to change the motor to a gasoline powered rngine. Once my son "grew out of it", we sold it & I purchased him a gasoline powered bike.
were is the cheapest place to buy this and is it available in any local stores like walmart? cuz i was saving up for one but im not sure what the cheapest askin price would be.
It depends on your weight. The MX500 has a 500 watt motor, the MX650 has a 650 watt motor. they're both geared to run exactly the same speed (17mph) however the MX500 is only rated for folks up to 175 lbs, while the MX650 is rated for up to 220 lbs. They are also different colors (the MX500 is red, the MX650 yellow) but those are about the only differences. The frames, wheels, tires etc are identical.
Ummm yeah thats perfect im 6'1'' and 250lbs and i was on 1 man is that thing fun they say your should be 175 but damn that little bike is strong, fastand really really fun!
No, the MX650 is geared to also run at 17mph, it's got more torque however & is rated to run with a 220lb rider as opposed to the MX500 which is only rated to run with a 175lb rider. They're both set up to run at 17mph.
To me it was definitely worth it, I got it @ Walmart for $299 2 yrs ago for Kyle for Christmas, and as his 1st motorized vehicle @ age 9, it worked perfectly.
You're correct, it goes 17MPH. Most folks can't really visualize that & that's the reason for this video, to see how quiet it is & to show what 17MPH looks like. :)
