  • i tot i share my review on it since i just started using it weeks ago. i had spedglas, miller ti 9400, fiber metal, jackson, most wif flip front. i was tired of having to flip open to grind then closed it then flip hood up so i can c my start.not to mention neck pain. i still use adf for other work like low amp tig, or alot of taggin. THE MAIN REASON i like bout accustrike is i hav a clear view when im grindin or need to c my work not shade 3 and green, and hands free operation!! try it!!!

  • the robot !

  • both are good', but this guy works really fast!!! @_@

  • Here are a few reasons: Speedglas price $380.00 Accu-Strike price $89.50. Speedglas viewing area is shaded and small. Accu-Strike is clear and big.

  • geezus

why not just use a speedglas?

  • I'd like to see a video from someone who's bought this for a independent review,This is the only video on youtube that I know of about the accu strike(I am leaning toward getting this) and would like to see more from others.

  • wow he moves like the vid is in fast forward mode... hats off to that guy and nice vid ;)

  • Its car seat frames at Magna Lomason

  • What is being made? A bike frame?

  • lol, high production anyone?

  • well im guessing it takes some time to get as good as this guy cuz damn look at him go. plus some people just like the autodark ones i do but then agian i havent tried one of those chin ones(but i want to)...and i hear ya i like looking through a clean lens to from my old flip one

  • Video is not sped up! The guy didn't know I was filming him.

  • My response to your comments:

The welder did not know he was being filmed. He is paid more for exceeding the quota. I personally welded over 8000 welds per day myself.

This helmet becomes as automatic as opening and closing your eyes. He is not getting flashed!

Who cares about chewing gum? I would rather look through a clear lens then the shaded lens the light activated helmets have. I also enjoy knowing my lens is dark before the arc not 1/25000 of a second after.

  • Video is sped up.

  • jesus christ, slow down a little. Your makin us all look bad LOL

  • got to get my self one of thos

  • wonder how much money he makes and i want that helmet!

  • hello. where can we buy one of your masks. For the hubby, think i can get twice as much work of him lol im in Victoria Australia

  • Yes, there is a safety lens for grinding and chipping. The visor stays up by itself when opened all the way. A slight (adjustable) nod closes it.

  • Dust mask works ok. It takes very little chin movement, similar to talking, so no problems with a sore chin.

  • Hot damn that helmet is awesome!

  • The helmet is controlled by a slight chin movement. Not an arc flash.

  • Yea. That is why i do not like the autodark helmets. It does darken in so many seconds. But, add that up for around 300 days in a year. That is how many times you have actually looked at the arc before it darken'd. The helmet you are using is very unique and fast. Honestly, i wouldn't want to use it because of what they would expect from you for the speed you go. Especially, in production. That would suck! Cool helmet!

  • Like I said in a earlier post. This is unstaged and unedited. The guy using the Accu-Strike helmet was not aware he was being filmed. This company has close to 100 welders using this helmet. They are making car seats. So the welds meet strict safety standards.

  • that guy is working like a dog...so much for the helmet

  • You should be able to see all the comments

  • Hey man I take it that this company doesnt exist in Canada?

  • There's no eye fatigue from the initial flash that you get with light activated helmets. Plus it doesn't need batteries to operate, and it doesn't slow down in cold weather like light activated helmets do.

  • Auto darks have a shade 3 or so darkness before you start to weld. That's bad enough, but over time it gets smoky and scratched and you end up lifting the helmet to see, but not with the Accu-Strike chin operated helmet. It also works great in team welding, auto dark helmets all go dark when someone around you starts to weld, again not a problem for this hood. It's also dark before the arc, since you know when you're going to weld. Post 2 of 3 read next comment

  • There is an easily adjustable chin strap allowing the welder to slightly lower his jaw just a bit, and the visor opens, relax chin pressure and it closes. You can also open it a little further and the visor will stay open on it's own, after which a slight nod will close it. This feature is great for grinding or chipping. The big advantage over auto dark helmets is the big Clear lens to see your work through. Post 1 of 3 please read next comments

  • Your correct. But it's freeing both hands to work with regardless of how fast you want to go. It's also clear when it's open, unlike auto dark helmets that are shaded before they darken to prevent the initial flash from leaving spots in your eyes.

  • Very tough helmet, 2 year warranty

  • Not when you make more money by producing more parts.

  • Just $89.50 if ordered online accustrike dot com

  • Mind giving the price?

  • Close to 100,000 sold not one case of t.m.j. Have had several people buy it because they got sore eyes from the flash helmets though.

  • Well, I filmed it none stop with no editing. Could it be that the hippie has his welder set at a higher speed?

  • Sorry, video is not sped up.

  • Your choice, but I prefer more features for less money.

  • Helmet is made in Ord, Nebraska. Viewing area is 3" x 5" Thanks for asking

  • deeam ur a pretty good welder man

  • Dark before the arc not after. Clear lens not a shade 3 to view through. Clear lens to grind with. Does not need to be warmed up to operate in cold weather. No batteries or fragil high tech equipment to go dead or malfunction. Just a simple, safe, affordable, time tested helmet.

  • People always assume it works harder then it does, over 90,000 sold, not one case of arthitis in the JAW. I do know of several welders with neck problems from conventional helmets though.

  • Yes, slightly lower your jaw.

  • thats pretty slick, if your working a production line it would deffinetly increase your proformance

  • It's great for any welding since it's hands free.

  • Could of had this helmet for under 100 and had a clear lens before it darkens instead of a shade 3. Plus this one is dark before the arc not after.

  • Better then an auto darkening: Big clear viewing area before you start the arc. Dark before the arc not after. No batteries or high tech junk that may malfunction causing eye damage. No need to warm the helmet up for it to operate in cold weather like you do with an auto dark. Just a simple idea that works!

  • On the contrary, they offer a bigger viewing area and a clear lens, not a shade 3 that the auto darks have before they darken. Also no minor flash that the auto darks need to activate the lens, that's why they aern't clear to begin. You control this hood, your not banking your eyes on some new high tech lens that may not work right all the time. This helmet is time tested with over 90,000 sold. Don't take chances with your eyes.

  • As you can see, he never flashes himself. It becomes as automatic as opening and closing your eyes. It's the best welding helmet on the market!

  • Car seats

  • That does look good but Nobody sells these in the UK.

  • I sell them all over the world including the UK. Call me 308-728-3113

    Roland

  • Working on it now.
