Hi Mitsy; I would love to get the plans for this little greenhouse. It looks like a perfect size for a backyard gardener. Could you email them to me? Blessings; gina
@farmgirlginaB We will try to get the measurements for you, we need to make a video on it, I have had several ppl ask me the same thing....Thanks......
it looks like a project I would do; its way over-engineered. From watching your other videos, I have gathered that you live in a cool to cold climate. If it gets too cold in there in the winter, add another layer of plastic to the inside of the house, leaving an airspace between the beams. This will save you probably 10 degrees on cold nights.
hi misty,ty for your respones, what you can do is wrap the treated lumber with poly,so it does not touch the soil,i understand now why you did it.thanks again, buddyboy
hi misty, looks great, cannot wait to see the veggies.i have a question for you,why did you use the pressure treated lumber?? what if the treated lumber leaches the poison into your soil?? buddyboy
Thank you for showing us and all the details. A greenhouse has always been my dream. So happy to see yours is up, and looking forward to seeing future vids on what comes up inside.
Now that looks downright professional ! Ya'll did a great job getting the plastic put on, awesome. Just one question...where does the recliner go ? ;-)
@mhpgardener LOL....Thank you!!! He has already been thinking about that, I would say it will be close to the heat or door....which ever is better suited....lol...Thank you Bobby../;-)
@kentuckyprepper1792 Thank you! No Just will have to replace it, when we get the extra money we will go ahead and buy it and store it just incase we can not get it when we need it this should last for at least 2-3 years....
@TheSheChef Thank you...Yes Duct tape is a life saver....I want to get some more lettuce going right away, then cabbage and other cold weather stuff the family likes, I have learned not to plant too much stuff they will not eat....Then maters and peppers, and stuff you need to start seed early for to produce, I will try to keep some of it going year round once I get going like Bobby ..mhpgardener....Thank you
You're so lucky! That's a nice greenhouse. I'd like to build one next summer with some old windows and things I found. I made a temporary one last year by covering an old swingset with plastic and it worked OK but I'd love something that will last.
Oh Misty, it's beautful......I have been begging hubby for a greenhouse......I think we are going to enclose the deck where the hot tub is....we think it might work, we shall see...I can't wait to see what all you grow in your greenhouse....happy planting..
@iamscrappybuttons Thank you!!! I think that would be a wonderful idea...You ought to check into Aqupontics, you might be aboe to change you hot tube into a container for the fish and have garden over them in your green house...
thats a nice lookin greenhouse yall got i been lookin round round fer one they used to give em away here but i guess there all gone now just my luck im always a day late n a dollar short
@mmlrc6atgmailcom I only asked because last week we had high winds during the night and our neighbor had a plastic type quonsahut, when we woke up the next morning it was gone!! God bless!
@WWYDdotORG Yes it is, and we will be getting up in the night to make sure it gets off with our help....ppl in this area have the same kind of gh and some even have a higher pitch than ours, and still have to go out and help it off before it colaps'....Thanks for watching....
Oooh, that's real nice Misty! I'm kinda jealous...until I think of how cold it gets here and how much snow we get! You have much better greenhouse weather than we do. Good luck!
You said your going to put a stove in there? Won't the stoves heat melt the plastic? Not all the plastic but the plastic around it, where it will be seating.
The greenhouse turned out great! We all know you will make good use of it! Do you get much snow where you are? How well will it hold up since its lined with plastic instead of glass?
@Prepper556 Thank you!!! Yes we do get some snow here, we got 1 1/2 in yesterday, but it didn't stick. ppl around here have this kind of GH, and in the middle of the night when you know it is suppose to be snowing, you get up and run to the gh abd gently get it off, if you have to stay up the rest of the night in shifts to do so.....
