its actually Cleopatra, featuring Hakim. Its a small difference, but one that could make it difficult to find the actual music ( if you werent able to access the desert rose series)
I have the desert 3 cd and it is written verbatim as follows: 1. HAKIM (Featuring Cleopatra)- "WALK LIKE AN EGYPTIAN". It then also has a paragraph on the cd cover about this song mentioning only Hakim Band and not anything of Cleopatra. But credit was given on the track itself to her. :-) Hope this helps. MSNASt1 may be correct in the way to download it on line may be listed the way she has it. :-) Again great job ladies!
It's not sad as much as it is unfortunate. Some music just falls in your lap and you don't know where it comes from... that doesn't make me want to dance to it any less. Peace & laLove
Hi! whats the name of this version and where can i find it? Im in a bellydance class and we will preform this exact song, but my teacher does not know the name. Thanx
Lovely so the place is relatively nearby. Would you have any recommendations for someone that has been dancing for 3 years. My daughter likes the Kabala collection Turkish and Indian music. Any artist you can recommend for music?
Unfortunately most of the music that we use we simply don't know the name of the artist! But I'm partial to Carvin Knowles's Album "Hamsa"...interesting mix of electronic and traditional, although I've never performed with it.
Ravi Shankar does amazing Indian music. As far as Turkish and Kabala... does she like a more modern sound, or traditional? I really like Gypsy Caravan, Uncle Mafufo, Helm...
I will also danc eon this song;)

Cute, but sad that you DON'T know who the song is sung by. I like this version better than the orginal.

lovely video very well done. Where is the Dragon's Den?

The Dragon's Den is located in New Orleans, just outside of the French Quarter (might as well be in the Quarter!)

We really know how to have some good ol' fashioned fun. I don't think we could have chosen a better way to close our set.
(ps/ Look in the mirror in the background if you want to see the drop to the floor).
