@Mastermind19871987 I installed windows on my mac and switch between the more stable OSX and the less stable but more game friendly Windows. That being said if a game can run on MacOSX its offten alot better. (With a windows mouse)

@Mastermind19871987 You need to learn more about technology, my friend. Hardware is hardware, no matter what kind of computer you have. There is no way on Earth you can, for instance, have a MAC with godly OS but i3 processor beat a buggy Windows 7 with an i7 processor. Both OSs have large headers and x64 versions (Windows 8 is said to be 128 bit) so you can unlock the hardware's full potential.

And i also bet that i know more programming than you do...i create viruses and programs like that and i know that you cant create those stuff in mac pcs... @4Antonis I don't upgrade my PC every year. Do you? Does anyone really? The only thing I could see that people would upgrade in the future, if they have an up to date PC right now, is the graphics card if games get really intense.

@windson7 Well I have a quad core processor and 9 gigs of RAM; all of the proper drivers.. And run maintenance programs (namely sfc /scannow) like every week! I honestly think that the crashes I've been having are related to AMD's graphics drivers which isn't microsoft's fault although on a mac I wouldn't even need drivers...

@WMPbob The thing that turns off most windows users about mac is the ridiculous price tags for computers that are essentially built in the same factory as most other PCs (Quanta in taiwan for example) and the internal hardware for both types of computers being essentially similar if not the same. But yes Mac OS does seem to have a certain edge over Win 7 in terms of style and ease of use.

this commercials talk a ot about not having viruses, but, buying a windows laptop and installing a virus is the same price that a mac, plus, a friend of my sister have mac and he get a virus.
I use windows 7, never crashed once, never frozen once. When I used the macs at the studios up in sydney on photoshop we had freezes and failures all the time. They had to hire a full time computer tech. So much for the whole mac thing. The servers were unstable inhibiting work flow, making us lose files and making products that large companies paid hundreds of thousands of dollars for.
I admit Mac's are nice and fancy, But They're overpriced. I mean you could get a very nice pc for the cost of a small mac. There's no real difference. Pc can do what Mac can do, And neither can do it better.

Windows 7 64bit. Best OS known to man so far. Besides I've yet to see a Mac do something that a PC can't. Thanks to Adobe the whole "artsy" thing about Macs have just been blown out the window. Last time I checked I haven't got a virus on my PC either. People do code viruses for Macs too you know. But when they hit a Mac, they hit 'em hard.

@Nictane4 actually no it's not, it's just that mac viruses are far less common than windows virus, thereby decreasing the chance of coming across one. They can both be obtained in a similar fashion, therefore the difficulty is the same. not to mention, more often that not, mac viruses are far more devastating to the computer due to the numerous holes in a mac's security when compared to windows.
Maybe Mac wouldn't be so bad if Mac wasn't so damn cocky and their ads weren't full of so much spin. Mac products are obviously targeted at the technologically illiterate. These ads have actually stopped me from buying mac products, and have done nothing but ad to my dislike of Apple. I'd rather go for computers and devices that run Open Source. You can do more. I love these ads. They don't make much sense. Macs get viruses too, but their market share is so small that few people waste time making viruses for them. Why would you?

No one is a PC by choice. No one can afford a Mac. Here's another fact. Not many minors can have a Mac either. If their parents can't afford it, and most likely they can't, their children can't either. That makes the Mac population even lower. I'm typing from a Mac Mini with TIGER.. that I got off ebay. with an ugly CRT monitor.. That's all I could afford.
The sad thing is that Linux has better customer support than mac, its free, and has less viruses than mac does! oh and it crashes less than macs do... and gives you control over your hardware, and over the OS itself, and lets you actually do more as you learn about the OS, and gives you free alternatives to ALL major software offered on Mac and Windows... need I continue?

actually macs osx is compatible with models 7 years old and it still runs smoothly, also theres a new apple os ever 2 years that gets better every time and the hardware and software capabilities are way ahead of PCs

actually its 30$ and windows 7 which is a minor update as well is 200 dollars. also when u pay as much as u do for a windows os u better get some free updates. apple offers much better support and more reliable updates then windows ever does.
the $30 is an upgrade, and you can only upgrade from the version right before it... if not, your screwed... and why should you have to pay to upgrade to another version of 10.x? That is more like paying for SP1 or 2 if you have Vista rather than switching to 7, and 7 may be based off of the same code as vista, but it is NOT a minor upgrade... and Ubuntu has better updates than Mac ever does... funny how you can say something and yet PC has a FREE alternative that works better :)
but even if you dont upgrade and have to buy Smow Leopard full price, its still less for the Mac box set, wich includes snow leopard, ilife, and iwork, if you were to copare that to windows, its is windows and microsoft office, your talking about 5-600 dollars, OSX is still way less
this is why people that dont know crap about computers shouldnt be buying new OSs anyways... you can get an OEM version of windows for about $100-110, and use OpenOffice for FREE as an alternative to microsoft office, and if you choose Linux instead of Windows, everything is free... not to mention, even if you do what you said (the Windows with MSOffice) you can afford it because of the money you saved on inferior hardware...

@Nictane4 actually no it's not, it's just that mac viruses are far less common than windows virus, thereby decreasing the chance of coming across one. They can both be obtained in a similar fashion, therefore the difficulty is the same. not to mention, more often that not, mac viruses are far more devastating to the computer due to the numerous holes in a mac's security when compared to windows.

Maybe Mac wouldn't be so bad if Mac wasn't so damn cocky and their ads weren't full of so much spin. Mac products are obviously targeted at the technologically illiterate. These ads have actually stopped me from buying mac products, and have done nothing but ad to my dislike of Apple. I'd rather go for computers and devices that run Open Source. You can do more. Screw Iphone and screw MacOS. I am going for PCs and Open Source devices, I am a power user and I want complete control.

I love these ads. They don't make much sense. Macs get viruses too, but their market share is so small that few people waste time making viruses for them. Why would you?
Also, please note that I have no problem with the OS itself: if Mac is your OS choice, then by all means, use it ... but remember, you could be running an equivalently-powered PC for hundreds less.

even the most 'religious' of windows/Microsoft fans such as myself has to admit that SOME of the windows os's sucked pretty hard.
I admit 95 = crap
I admit M-E = crap
I admit Vista = crap (except if you had the service pack and a good computer... but it still kinda sucked)
But XP was and still is the most widely used OS in the world.
While some people won't switch to 7 from XP because of vista, some people such as myself were beta tester and know that 7 blows ALL other OS's away!

Personally I can't comment on windows 7 because I can't afford it right now. But I agree that XP was the best Windows OS.
I still regret upgrading to Vitsa it has nothing but problems, and I don't know how to downgrade back to XP so I'm kinda stuck with it

I use windows because i play PC games you can't do that on a MAC. Windows is for tech junkies and people who know what they are doing.
If you want something that's idiot proof, buy a MAC with osx. I've never had a problems with any of my windows operating systems.
Most problems stem from the equipment between the monitor and the chair. In this commercial Megan obviously wants something to update her twitter and check her facebook, not update her server or check on her idle temperatures.

No one is a PC by choice. No one can afford a Mac. Here's another fact. Not many minors can have a Mac either. If their parents can't afford it, and most likely they can't, their children can't either. That makes the Mac population even lower. I'm typing from a Mac Mini with TIGER.. that I got off ebay. with an ugly CRT monitor.. That's all I could afford.

The sad thing is that Linux has better customer support than mac, its free, and has less viruses than mac does! oh and it crashes less than macs do... and gives you control over your hardware, and over the OS itself, and lets you actually do more as you learn about the OS, and gives you free alternatives to ALL major software offered on Mac and Windows... need I continue?

actually its 30$ and windows 7 which is a minor update as well is 200 dollars. also when u pay as much as u do for a windows os u better get some free updates. apple offers much better support and more reliable updates then windows ever does.

the $30 is an upgrade, and you can only upgrade from the version right before it... if not, your screwed... and why should you have to pay to upgrade to another version of 10.x? That is more like paying for SP1 or 2 if you have Vista rather than switching to 7, and 7 may be based off of the same code as vista, but it is NOT a minor upgrade... and Ubuntu has better updates than Mac ever does... funny how you can say something and yet PC has a FREE alternative that works better :)

but even if you dont upgrade and have to buy Smow Leopard full price, its still less for the Mac box set, wich includes snow leopard, ilife, and iwork, if you were to copare that to windows, its is windows and microsoft office, your talking about 5-600 dollars, OSX is still way less

this is why people that dont know crap about computers shouldnt be buying new OSs anyways... you can get an OEM version of windows for about $100-110, and use OpenOffice for FREE as an alternative to microsoft office, and if you choose Linux instead of Windows, everything is free... not to mention, even if you do what you said (the Windows with MSOffice) you can afford it because of the money you saved on inferior hardware...

how did you come up with this? Can it play many games? no... Can it edit video/pictures/music better than a Windows or Linux system? no... is it easier to use? no... (if you think it is, please give me a step by step of how to set up a OSX based file server/web server) is it faster? no... how the hell did you get the idea that it does everything?
