So u prefer nintendo? Personally I am a sony boy, but also have a wii, and have had gameboys, but whichever company comes out w better games+graphics will be getting my hard earned cash, and as far as the pics, well I am tottally sick of these advertising execs shoving what they think is cool down the down to earth consumer, just my two cents.

P.s. I grew up in the GBA era. I play and make sprite mods for "Pokemon" (Fire Red/Leaf Green). One of my all time favorite GBA games is "kirby's nightmare in dreamland" followed by "Golden Sun".

. . . And I will still get the PS Vita. Why? Because of all the games and other fun experiences things under the umbrella of the PS Vita brand will bring me. Simple.

I am glad I wrote that before seeing your response. Your assumption of me being a two dimensional "fanboy" (illiterate term for bias) is unfounded. User names have little to do with the evidence in an argument anyhow but, if you wish, I will not discuss or argue with you.

Gotta say,this video is intelligently funny. I don't know how else to describe it. You make a lot of sense in it, but the genuine humor in it (especially the skateboard bit at the end) had me rolling. But hey, this is Sony's way and to be honest they need to find a new way because they haven't been successful relying on the "lifestyle" gimmick as a marketing tactic in a LONG time and Apple's domination in that regard doesn't make it any easier. I almost prefer those PSP squirrels over this.

Ultimately I expect these photos are probably going to be cropped down and used in some promotional material in the context of the system's actual games and features (like Nintendo print stuff they've done for the DSi), and I expect Sony will get it together, but the fact that they merely released THESE photos alone as a stand alone press kit is just one of those silly moments.

It's all about permeating the lifestyle of the consumer. Look at the ads for most Sony products and you'll notice they tend to emphasize their products being a part of who you are and how you live your life. It's an often used marketing tactic so it's not a bad way to go but in the wrong hands it comes off fake and almost demeaning in a way.
