What really is striking is how modest he is about his achievents. He was always focused on the work and its difficulties, rather than on his ego and whether he was impressive. Very rare, especially for someone of his high quality and huge achievements. Even in the worst of his movies, his dancing numbers are outstanding. Once he took on a project he gave it his all, even if he felt that it was not turning out so good. VHS tapes of the show are available, used, but they are very costly.
Totally The Man, as My Wife would say, she loves him, says no one can dance or sing or have such Grace & Style as Fred Astaire, he was Pure Class !

Is there any chance you could upload Mikhail Baryshikov's remarks about Mr. Astaire from this Award show?

I met Ginger once at a book signing and I soared for days. I only wish I could have met this great entertainer as well.

He's so shy and modest, that's why I've always loved him much more than Gene Kelly.
