Love Diabetes: Have you been stimulated?

i was diagnosed with type 1 diabetic i am having a c peptide test what should i be looking out for as i have never been tested they just assumed i was type 1 coz my dad is type 1 and they put me straight on insulin but my blood is all over the place really high really low does this mean im still type 1 i am really confused i hate it with a passion please help:)
