Perform a YT search on British comedian Max Wall. Perhaps it was a case of separate entertainers developing similar syles, but they appear to parralel each other.
Leonard Barr!!???? Fantastic! I've been an LB fan since a mear youngster in the 1970's. He'd pop up on Carson or the Martin show occasionally doing his old vaudville schtick which was both lame and wonderful and the same time. Yes, he was Martin's uncle. Thank you so much!
If memory serves, Leonard Barr was killed on the Korean Airlines flight 707 or 777, which the Russians shot down when it "theoretically" strayed over Kamchatka Island (part of Soviet Union), in the late 70's. Also killed was a California Congressman, John Rousselot. I remembered this-don't know why, but I always remember Leonard Barr was Dean Martin's uncle, and he'd come on the Tonight Show with like 5 minutes remaining, and do a comedy dance or tell jokes. He was a riot. Can you post more?
To LaughClub: Seeing Leonard (Momma Angea's brother)lets you know where Dino got those long lanky legs and the 6ft frame, it sure was not from his Dad who was not very tall. And surly his comic talent came from Leonard too.
Watch Dino dance (Colgate Comedy Hour and his own show) with the step Brothers and the Treniers. You will see some of Uncle Leonard and also that Dead Pan look while he cracks you up with his oneliners I could watch his dancing and joking around all day (and night too.) I sure do miss him!!!!
