Uh! This scene is just so beautiful! I actually don't mind that the kiss wasn't all slobber slobber because even though in the heat of their passion it probably should have been, there's also the fact that they're slightly unsure where they stand in their relationship. God, I love this couple!!!

you can find this beautiful melody in the 1st season soundtrack, in "An Ideal Marriage" and "An Heir"; and for season 2, it is in "Such Good Luck"...

The whole soundtrack is magical!!!!

This is such a beautiful scene, I keep watching it over and over again. Makes me feel like, despite everything in the world, there is hope when you love someone as much as they love each other. I am so happy about what happened last night on the Christmas Special!! :'D (don't want to reveal any spoilers). These two are the best example of love conquering all (such a cliché, but it's true)

@khevinmark The music after the gramophone fades out is a variation of "Such Good Luck" composed by John Lunn and it's on the soundtrack. The OST version is played a bit slower and in a lower octave though.

It is a high class scene beautifully acted, directed, shot and edited. It is story telling of the highest order....and a tragedy of the greatest magnitude that their deep love seems doomed to eternal frustration and regret. Because of this episode I went and bought the box set and watched it from the beginning to bring me up to speed with all the nuances of the plot. It is thoroughly enjoyable exhilirating stuff. I hope ITV find clever ways of scheduling it so that we can have regular fixes.

Such a perfect couple!! Really hope they'll end up together....although I do quite like the 'will they/won't they' thing going on...makes it more suspenseful and makes their love story even more beautiful....but the slow burn is only good as long as they end up together in the end!
