  • that is sweet..

  • I love your machine, check out mine!

  • That is AWESOME!!! I bet that would be a big hit at the tractor shows around here

  • Full soda time!

  • Nice engine. Good to see old machinery put some use.Speed isn't everything! Much better than being in a museum or rusting away in a garage somewhere. Thanks for posting

  • Hi billstmaxx,

That is pretty flat but, have you tried to make it flatter and for some reason the cans just will not be flattened any more?

Nice machine, and wonderful 'motor-bike' like sound, just great!

very made made and just a really nice engineering job!

  • Totally not what i was expecting >.>... jk.

  • Are you making them and selling them?

  • I crush my cans so I can save space. I save space so I can have room for my can crusher!

  • gosh people if u think its so stupid dont watch and dont comment no one cares about how ...oh u have to do this every time or do that just give it a rest its cool so if u dont like dont watch!!!

  • Looks great mate, well done !

    Steve

  • Looks great mate, dont worry what the others say i think its great !

    Steve.

  • @capcaunuu dud i crush a few cans at the engine/tractor show for the kids to see.. it's not a full production 24/7 crushing machine.

  • @billstmaxx my bad then...still it would be pretty fun to crush cans faster, wouldn't it? How much for some steel rods to make a cage? $5? I think it's worth it, plus it would make it safer to operate.

Anyway, the crusher is really well built so it would be even nicer to add that feature too.

    Just my 2 cents...

  • @billstmaxx some people dont understand the fun in just making some thing as simple as it can be

  • That is kick-ass.

  • Neat piece of work my friend! Is there a bench-mounted version in the works?

  • Looks great mate, well done !

  • How many psi does it take? Also, what about tall boys?

  • somehow....it's cool

  • You should make a hopper that feeds the cans in automatically !

  • an entire machine for crushing cans?????

i find this things useles since u can jump on them and get the same result.

  • yes but how would your foot feel after crushing 1500 + cans in one day? this goes to the show and crushes cans all day..... i go through 10 HUGE garbage bags in one day. !!!

  • @eneparmuh It's a cool use for a really old engine.

It's for show, it's not meant to be a practical household kitchen appliance.

  • Would you build me one and sell it to me?

  • wow, i'm from upstate NY and we don't have to do n e of that, (bottle deposit!) but if we did, i would totally do something like that. BTW a GREAT use to put that old Wolseley to, it's a shame seeing all of them just sitting there idleing at shows, these guys were made for working, not idleing!

  • @theimaginator16 i agree

  • add a nice large hopper, and you got yourself the best can crusher in the neighborhood :D LOL

  • Fantasic engine and crusher. I have a similar wolseley and would love to do this with mine.

Do you know what pressure it opperates at?

    Many thanks,

    Phill.

  • well i had a 100 psi blow off valve. it seemed to have lots of pressure there to crush cans

  • Thanks,

    100PSI sounds like enough!

    Cheers,

    Phill.

  • crush like 12 cans, line up the pancake cans and fuse the crushed cans into one pancake. be like "this 1/2 an inch piece of metal is 12 cans."

  • That is fantastic!

  • I wan't one!!!! That seems like it would be really fun to crush cans like that! Great machine!

  • what like a skull crusher. for people who don't applicate other people who invent things?

    Don't be so rude!

  • Excelent idea !!

  • Boot heel stamp, much flatter than that waste of time

  • you're a waste of time

  • i think the speed of this one has it's own appeal, pretty cool :)

  • thats awesome. you should upload a video of a full can being crushed ;)

  • not the fastest pneumatic can crusher but definitely makes cans the flattest i have ever seen

  • Try with a full can

  • thats a really intresting set up

  • Reminds me of Rube Goldberg machines.

  • That has to be the coolest sounding can crusher I've ever seen.

  • it works so good too. Better then i thought it would have

  • Well at first i was going to say just use your foot. but after watching that i must say its quite a nice setup you have. Any idea of the crushing pressure I read the comments and found the air pressure is about 100.

If you knew the size of the piston in the ram and the air pressure it could be worked out.

  • this is pretty nice for homemade can crushers, almost looks like a commercially sold can crusher, and shurely enough works like one, i would love to build something like this.

  • waat parts do i need to build one

  • well i had an old pressure washer cart that i mounted the air cylinder to and you need the air valve and a bit of hose... oh ya and compressed air... the more the better... there i was running about 100 psi 150 would get it flatter

  • where can i buy the parts to make your crusher and what size is the cylinder i have an compresser thanks

  • you shoudl put a full can in there

    see how strong it is

  • is all tht shit rly necessary?

  • what are you talking about? it works great

  • 400 bucks worth of equipment to crush that?

  • no not really about 170ish... the ram was 150.00 everything else was cheap

  • i can do this with my foot faster lol

  • but what's the fun in that?? and after 500 cans or more... i bet your foot would be done way before that

  • Rube Goldberg would be proud.

  • stick a body part in their and then i would be happy

  • What is it with you Yanks and can crushers? Just stand on the cans you fat cunts, you will do just as good a job.

  • yanks what the heck is that? im Canadian and proud to be

  • Too bad aluminum is down to like $.30 a lb. I had 101 lbs last time I went and got 30$. The time before, It was $1.50 a lb. OUCH

  • Would be cool to see you stick your foot in that thing.

  • huh flat as a pancake

  • Can you develop something usefull too?

  • @ 0:55 NUtrients facts drink me im only 1/32 of the cans original form lol

  • You must put your balls in it!!!!!!!

  • my foot is faster, cheaper, and more quiet

  • do a full can

  • where did you get the crusher from you know the bit that goes in and out the hydrolic cant spel soz

  • wow, it sure has lots of power.

  • Could you please put a full can in that?

  • Damn, I would pay to see that.

  • That would be pretty cool to see

  • Very nice!!

  • I like the rpm's on the engine... something like 260 rpm or something by ear.

  • soo....why did you waste you time doing that.? its cool. but my foot does the same thing...

  • I could put that gear to some better use.

  • like what give me ideas

  • I'd try to make a pneumatic robotic arm.

  • what brand of cylinder is that and size? also do you think it would be able to crush a soup can or an aerosol can?

  • not sure on the brand but you need one long enough to hold the un crushed can . there has to be enough gap to be able to drop the can in .. then you need to see how long the stroke of the cylinder is and leave about a 1/2" of space past where the stroke ends so when you crush it it will have a space to drop through .. then you can crush many in a row with out a problem or binding.. The rammer i used a weld on sprocket hub and a sprocket just a bit bigger than the can

  • Waste!!!

  • what's wrong with just stamping on them?

  • i wanna see it crush a full can

  • me to

  • Me to

  • since i can count me fourth :P

  • owow thats flat

  • hahaha!! good idea mate what got u to make that ?

    awsome idea!!!
