I promise you that schools with billion dollar football programs don't rely on youtube to find recruits. Texas and Oklahoma had some interest in McGuffie, but he wasn't their first option. Texas A&M went after him hard, as did Notre Dame, but he ended up at Michigan.

Truth is, many high school prospects simply don't pan out. Black and white.

my buddy played at the same high school and same position sam did in high school. He was the stud rb there when sam was a freshman. He then went off to play at NW in the big 10. He told me that sam wasn't going to be very good in college, cause he was fast and could jump. But he has no lateral movement, cause you rarely run in a straight line in college. Now you see that he knows what he's talking about. Because sam is one of the biggest bust to come out of Houston in a while.

I'm born and raised in Houston so therefor I was rooting for this kid, but he had 3 concussions in 2008 at Michigan. Let's be realistic, he's not gonna be the standout that everyone thought he was going to be, not because he lacks athleticism, it's just hard to recover for 3 concussions.
