  • All that one sees in the media concerning non-Caucasians blaming "whites" for all the world's ills go straight back to when foreign-born Koppel did his Nightline show. Whether it's those back-stabbers on "The View" or Dewayne Wickham using his USAToday column to hate on Caucasians, ... it ALL traces back to Koppel's fear and obscene pandering to blacks!

Koppel masked his evil by speaking positively about Caucasians only in generic terms while butchering Caucasians via couching lies & halftruths

  • @guyNbluejeans wow .well said ,alot of the racist criminals in the uk attacking whites would love this guy ,so would our leaders n media here,,anyone thats anti white is loved and anyone who sticks yp for whites is labeled racist,, he should move to the uk ,racist prick!!

  • @truthhunter46 Thanks! I watched Koppel's career from the beginning and thought the world of him because he was a "consummate professional." But then I soon found out what he was really about when he took it upon himself to be Mr. Know-IT-All and began addressing sensitive and complex matters of race and culture with the spin always being that Caucasians are out screwing over all the other races 24/7. He would never do a show about Caucasians giving a GREAT standard of living to the world, never

  • everyone talks about the new threat of the giant china..................so why did america build up the chinese over the last 25 years? It don't make no sense, nigga.

  • "If you listen to his voice carefully without looking at the screen, Ted Koppel sounds like he's taking a shit." - George Carlin; "Napalm & Silly Putty", pg140.

  • He sounds constipated

  • koppel knows china

  • america is the worst abuser of human rights.

  • @stealthpakfa You're clearly an idiot if you believe that.

  • @Sheldonwh

    RFLMFAO.

    muahahahahaha

america is on a mission to exterminate the entire human population.

america is the worst human rights abuser in human history, america makes nazi germany look like human right protectors.

america has slaughtered over 1 billion humans since 1900.

war crimes, dropping depleted uranium, rapes, murders, assassinations, dropping nukes on innocent civilians, torture, slavery, etc are all done by america.

    america is pure evil.

  • @stealthpakfa That's total bullshit, and you either know that it is bullshit, or you're a fucking moron. And "America" is not a person, so it can't be on a mission of any kind. Grow up and educate yourself, you idiot.

  • Here are the names of a few dead Caucasians murdered by spoiled, brainwashed, racist blacks in recent years.

My contention is that they were partially killed on account of Koppel - and thousands(!) of other media libs that followed his cowardly example - for not being honest about complex matters of race in this country.

Kris Kime, Donald Farrell, Emily Rimel (5), Keven Shifflett (8), Kayla Rolland (6) Channon Christian, Daniel Ramsey, Keith Koster, Nancy Davis, Aaron Grexa, Conrad Hollis, x!!

  • A few minutes ago I spent some time watching a black racist woman use her TV program as a weapon to slam Caucasians, while her (black) audience applauded every unfair, unbalanced, lying, crap-thing that flowed out of her spoiled mouth.

All of this denigrating of Caucasians that one sees in the various mediums these days goes back to when Koppel began his ABC Nightline career. And that's because he seemed to have a knack for taking complex racial matters and spinning them to shit on Caucasians.

  • The night Sonny Bono died Ted K. reported it on 'Nightline' . The 1st words he said were 'He had no talent , he wasn't good looking , not very good at bla bla bla negative shit the whole way through on the very night the man died. Sonny Bono who wrote songs that are loved throughout the world every day all over the planet. Ted Koppel - his legacy is nothing more than another talker with no class.

  • The US goes out to other countries to capture the criminal it wants. The US will do everything for the interests of national security, including torture and kill. Everything US does seems to be legit but for China. Why? You Americans worth more than the Chinese? Give me a break.

  • US spying on individuals too in the name protest the national security and fighting against terrorists. If China does the same, I am sure the so call 'Human Rights' group will accuse of Chinese government for so call the violation of human rights. What a joke!

  • Like to know about Frank McGuire. I'm asking. To all of you that think China's a joke...They own your debt in treasury notes a trillion dollars. That means when they lay claim ,and you owe. The Chinese can legally take your property if you don't pay up.Save your money you are being undermined.

  • If you close your eyes and look at the screen, Ted sounds like he's taking a shit. Trust me.

  • napalm and silly putty (:

  • that´s George Carlin´s line!

  • lol. Really?

  • does this mean you find ted sexy?

  • Everytime a western reporter talks about China, he or she always brings up the subject of human rights. Westerners DO NOT care about human rights in China. They only use this issue to discredit China. They only pick on China by using human rights. It is cool in the west to champion in human rights and to use China as a whipping boy.

  • Just like Darfur.

  • @aguswidjaja You seem to think that the way that China treats its people is somehow tied to what the U.S. thinks. So, since the U.S. doesn't really care about human rights, that means that China is okay? If the U.S. cared about human rights, would that make China wrong? Your response is a distraction from the real point. China is a HORRIBLE place to live, and "disappears" its people if they stand up to the overbearing, horrifying abuses of its government.

  • @Sheldonwh Yeah. You are another one of those morons.

  • @aguswidjaja shut up idiot.

  • @jansonb69 Me shut up? So you can't stand difference of opinion?

  • @aguswidjaja This post brought to you by the PRC.

  • ??????

  • "any improvement? Human right improvement?"

Starting out by labeling China as 'evil' as always.

Just another source from the media, which exists to persuade.

    disappointed.

By the way, I'm not Chinese, but I think all journalists have their own opinions; and I think this series about China is Ted Koppel's own opinion.

I'm being educated by a journalist from a certain channel that's part of the media that exists to, no longer report, but teach.

    i watch the show too

  • Journalist is supposedly report the facts but the fact is that they just express his or her own opinions for some political believes and purposes. This is what's happening not only for the journalists from China but here in the U.S. too. That's why you always hear one-sided the story and not balanced. People who are invited to the network on the show are always in line with the opinions of the network. There is no room for debate and exchange viewpoints from people with different backgrounds.

  • Poor old Ted is a bit out of touch on China. He obviously gets his info fom the media and he, better than anyone, should know that's not a reliable source.

Apart from his inaccuracies (which are surprising) his "analysis" on China is colored and America-centric (also not surprising).

  • Actually he made a 4 part documentary which aired on the Discovery Channel and it's one of the best documentaries I've ever had the pleasure of watching. Ted Koppel went to China to make this documentary and he interviewed the people there and he obviously spent alot of time on this documentary. Kudos to Ted Koppel, he did an excellent job. The documentary was on the Discovery Channel last week, very informative.

  • I hope I get to see it, however I can't expect it to be any less biased or more accurate than his promo piece. I'm sure he has done a creditable job (or, I should say, his producers have), however it is a pity that they always feel the need to add the confection that panders to the audiences pre-conceived and ill-informed positions. It does them no credit. That's what I object to in the propaganda (as the Chinese call promotion)piece.

  • I seen one of the documentaries in question, and judging by the first, This is "western media" at its most robust and fair form.

  • ted comment is biase, but u are right, for "western media" this documentry is prolly the fairest by far. Not saying is correct, but definitly not as bad as the bbc, or fox news, or cnn report.

  • The way the state in communist china controls the press is Rupert Murdoch's wet dream.

  • Ted Koppel is incredible. He is impenetrable. Check out his interview with the current Leader of Scientology David Miscavige. He doesn't bat an eyelash or miss a beat.

  • so sad this man lost his show to a trio of empty headed morons who couldn't produce a piece of quality journalism to save their life.

  • For me one of the only advantages of having insomnia was watching Nightline. It was one of the new shows on broadcast T.V. that I felt was serious journalism and that did the field any credit. The holy troika of late night T.V. was Nightline, Charlie Rose and Later with Bob Costas. Talk about intellectual entertainment. Those were the days. Today everything on T.V. seems so devoid of intellectual value.

  • why don't they ever interview a chinese for this kind of interview...always some old so-called professor!!!

  • I think they're interested in seeing China through an America's point of view, because not only is it a bit more objective but also more interesting.

  • how is only seeing an American's view about China more objective??? they should interview an chinese-american to do that.

  • I'm sure they would love to interveiw any chinese official willing to come on and give a candid view of the issues. They were however interviewing Ted Koppel about his personal views.

  • Are you kidding me??? there are thousands of chinese authors who wrote about China...even though some of them do not speak English...but they could still get a translator. Obviously I have no problem with Ted Koppel...My point is that I have watch Charlie Rose and other American talk shows for years and not once had they had an Chinese-American authur.

  • Actually, you should really watch his show. In this show "Ted Koppel on China's role in global economy", Ted actually interview large number of Chinese. In addition, he also walks us through the way ordinary Chinese people live their life.

Its on the Discovery Channel at 10pm-11pm

Watch it, it's really good :D

Tomorrow night, they will have another episode on china. I recommend you go watch it

  • I know...I watched it. but being an chinese-american...I don't think a hour documentary do the justice. no matter what the culture or place...I think one has to spend at least 2 years in another culture to really understand it.

  • Lol, I think you got a really good point. But just watching the show, it really opens my mind up understanding the world better.

It makes me feel gratefull for what i have. My family, education, and myself :D

  • Hi, I'm really glad that you feel that way. I just think American education in general don't really talk much about other cultures, especially eastern culture. I, too enjoy watching stuff that makes me learn more about others.

  • I truly agree! :]

  • oh shut up. Ted Koppel is a respectable journalist. We don't want to hear about China from a Chinese person. We want to hear about China from an American with a record of quality, objective journalism. Chinese nationals know about as much about objectivity as they know about democracy and freedom. And Chinese Americans... well... can you find one with a track record of quality objective journalism who the Discovery Channel will pay to travel around China and make a documentary? No.

  • I already said I have nothing against Ted Koppel...I am just refering this as an example for western media as a all in that they rarely interviews a chinese or chinese-american about chinese issues. But for you to say that all chinese and chinese-american journalism is inferior than American only shows how arrogant you are and it is this arrogance make others have anti-americanism.

  • @TheWiseCommenter you people western have to realize this first of all they from the eastern world not the western ok. they doing thing differently from the west. so do yourselve a favor mind your own fucking business at otherside of the world!!!!!!!!!!! if you fucking westhern want to talk about history you people no near powerful like the chinese people started 5000 years ago. what people are using today most are from China inventions...

  • A well informed public capable of independent critical thinking is a obviously a great threat to that country and sadly many others. I am really enjoying your channel.
