I have the same meter. Does your meter screech when you push the NVC button or does it beep?

Btw do you know what the NVC button is used for anyway cus I have no clue.

NVC means Non-contact voltage. You can hold that meter close to a electrical outlet push the NVC button and it will signal if there is voltage on the line. Hope that helps.
