Simple, if one can't stand someone in the business world then there's no deal made or early termination happens. Phil, MJ, Pip couldn't stand their GM. The ppl. have spoken, it is SourKrause. In a perfect world, Phil. MJ, Pip could just transfer themselves to another team (Let say NYK) but it wouldn't be fair to the people of Chicago (Phil, MJ, Pip have a very low failure rate). These 3 moved on and had their taste of Defeat. The world is left to wonder infinitely "what if"(The sad part).

I think the Bulls ended their run at the right time, they might have had a shot at the title in 1999 but I think they might have lost at some time in the playoffs. The Indiana series was the closest I ever felt during the championship run to feeling like we were going to lose.

Fuck Jerry Krause and fuck this video. Yes he helped build a winning team but he also is to blame for the demise of that same team. Stop saying "six championships" because what we are talking about is ONLY what happened after those championships, the demise.

He's the reason we lost Phil, MJ and Pip, why we gave away Brand and Artest for garbage, and invested in guys like Fizer and Williams. He's to blame for why we even had to rebuild post 98 and why that rebuilding was totally botched.

1. Scottie was underpayed - Management should try to keep his employees motivation on the highest level - they should have considered paying more to Pip

2. Jerry had some personal issues with Phil - said that he wasn't going to bring him back even if they went 82-0 in the 97-98 season

3. Michael would never leave if Jerry retained Phil as a coach

Maybe I'm in the minority but I have hard time giving Krause lots of credit for putting together those great Bulls teams cuz Jordan was soooo great, it is not difficult to find the pieces around him that'll fit in right to win rings. Pippen's the only player in NBA history to lead a team that won 55 games or more in every major category and not win MVP. They weren't a Championship team but they were definetly a playoff team.

Phil Jackson should be #1. First off all, Mike made it clear he didn't wanna play for anybody else. 2nd, if Phil goes into the front office and says "we're the world champs and we deserve the right to defend our title and I wanna come back and do that!" They all would've come back startin' with Mike. Phil couldn't take the fact that Krause made him, brought him outta the dungeon of the CBA and hired him, and he constantly let him know that. Which is why they couldn't work together anymore.

And how much "building" did Krause do for the second 3-peat? Ron Harper-nobody wanted him at the time and he was washed up. Longley was a joke everywhere else, Kerr was a no-name journeyman who could hit a three. Great players make average talent look better than they are, Longley is the best example of that.
