there is a much faster and weirder way to do this. Go to Exodus rally point Bravo, and when the falcons arrive, do not get in the turret. instead, betray the ODSTs and Marines. It will be a big bloody mess of Marines shooting at eachother, you, and the civilians. That's right, they shoot the civilians. Walk up to one of the Marines in the turret and it will say "hold X to board enemy falcon" and when you do, you get the achievement. You then fall out of the Falcon with no weapon, and then die.

There's an easier way on Exodus, Betray your marines when they land with the falcon and the marines will be considered your enemy. Hijack one of the turrets and you'll get the acheivement

I got this achievement in one of the most funniest ways... A banshee got trapped in between some of the rocks; didn't even have to jet pack up to it, just walked right up to it and boarded, lol.

I did this one on Normal with all skulls but Iron in New Alexandria with the flying falcons all over the place and the air battles by myself, telegraphed my drop, and hijacked an underneath passing banshee first time :3

Nice, but you could have used a charged blast from a Plasma Pistol, it drops the Banshee to your feet, far easier.

You are not meant to run past those grunts at the start. You are meant to kill them and pick up heir Plasma Pistol. This achievement was basically made here. Why do you think the Banshee's fly so clumsy?

Its also pretty easy to get it on the 9th mission in the the underground cave with the emp gun when you defend the laboratory. Thats how I got it.

There's a MUCH easier way: just grab a plasma pistol, overload it, shoot down a Banshee, hop in. Takes less than 1 minute to get the achievement after the section starts.

the banshee literally came to me on legendary

in the mission with the falcons, after escorting the falcon to the platform,

land on the platform as well and get off

some banshees flew rite over the landing really slow nice and easy hijack

Rofl this achiv. is so ez the smart an ez way i did it. was pick up a plasma pistol from a dead grunt of jackal. then charge it up. an bet u cant guess wat to do with it. SHOOT THE BANSHEEEE!!!! it emps it an falls to the ground. an u hack that mo fo. =). go figure. charge up a hella hot plasma pistol. an u get a electical pulse shooting gun that stuns electronics.. bungies got quiet the imagination wouldnt u say? haha hope this isn't really their last halo game. peace!

I got it in the ice cave part of the mission. Used grenade launcher to disable the banshee constantly and then highjacked it. However, as soon as the first was high jacked the second started flying farther and higher away, preventing my co-op partner from stealing it.
