@aza9825 If you have a good NBC filter for it. N and B but not C. The MCU2P's flaw was that it was made of silicone rubber on the outside, which can corroded by chemwarfare like blister agents unlike butyl or Hycar rubber (like MSA's newer Millennium or Advantage 1000 for CBRN). Some MCUs also have a problem with the adhesive on the visor disbonding, letting in outside air. And also the visor yellowing sometimes. This is still a great mask, just don't get showered with chemical agents.
Ok i have proxy 90 dollars to spend on a new gas mask where can i get that mask and voice projector for around 100 dollars? please it would be very helpful.
i have the MSA MCU2A/P gas mask, its more or less rarer than the M40, and maybe the MCU2/P mask.
funny price i got it for okay/good condition. the airsoft shop i went to gave it to me for 15$ only a negative question asked from the 2nd store clerk guy. "15$ for a gas mask?"
Ricky, where is the best place to buy one of the MCU-2/P masks? I have tried eBay but to no avail, could you possibly tell me a few other websites (that will ship to Australia) that may have these masks in stock? Also a price range would be nice too. Thnks in advance.
Actually I was thinking (having nightmarish flashbacks actually) of douchebag diggit first classes who were the only people who ever had those goddamn speaker attachments. It didn't make any sense either, as they were always drill coordinators or something and didn't actually need to be heard while wearing the damn things in the engine room during CBR GQ drills. You also need to learn how to put the thing on properly and get it fitted.
@phatsakk43 Interesting information! And yes I know how to properly don and clear a mask. But seeing as my house is not a chemical warzone, I focus more on just simply throwing it on haha.
@TheEmuTyrant No it does not fit.. I tried to fit it on my SF10, S10, FM12, and N10. Theyre too big for the VPU. BUT, I have seen pictures of SF10s with this VPU on; it had a different mounting bracket. So to answer your question, yes the VPU can fit on them, but not with this mounting bracket. You would need a different version
@xXCrispyToastXx Actually no they were not at all. A big part of Desert storm/shield was destroying many of Iraq's chemical weapons supplies though, because Iraq had a history of deploying gas on its enemies. So it was mostly a search and destroy of stocked supplies, not so much that they were deployed on our troops.
Would I recommend getting an M50? Well its just a matter of opinion on that mask. It is honestly a really great mask and it is super durable and made to last. I just personally didnt like it when I got it. But if you really want one, chances are that you will like it when you get it. If you can get it for the right price, then go for it.
@rickyleoadams Most masks are really durable depending on how well it's handled and stored. I think the M40 (just start making it out of butyl rubber) and MSA Millennium were still better and looks better, The M50 is kind of like a combination of the two but uses propriety filters so that doesn't work if they had to do joint operations with NATO since they use 40mm. The benefits of the M50 and newer masks is they use chlorobutyl or halobutyl so I don't know if it's better than regular butyl.
Nice mask, I like these ones but I really wan an M50, I know you don't really like them but I think they look great... Would you recommend getting one?
So NBC protection with the mask?

Important question regarding the VPU, do you reckon it could fit onto the nose cone of an S10 model gas mask?
