It was good, though I like Rayman 1 best, it just got worse from then on, though Rayman 3 was still a decent game.... the raving rabbid games however just suck
Every game, when it starts to be developed, must get concept approval from the platform maker.
Once the concept is approved the game developer will be given a product code. That's where the alpha-numeric code on the spine of the box.
If you visit the PlayStation site and go to a game page and observe that page address in your browser then you'll see the product code as part of the page address too.
So, the number has a purpose but it's a boring one. It's just a catalogue reference.
You have rayman 2?!

Sorry for seemingly spamming your comments section for this video, but a user on some forum said:
"SCES = Published by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (with one or two exceptions it seems)
SCED = SCEE published demos
SLES = Third/second party published games
SLED = Third/second party published demos
PBPX = In some pack-in demos"

Ah, my bad for not watching the whole video first. My apologies.
However, you have made me gag to find out exactly what that damn SCES means...

Isn't the 5 digit number the release of the game...
So the first PS1 game is 00001?
And the platinum version being 00001/P?
ASecondOpinion1501 2 years ago
well my platinum spyro doesnt have a "/P" on it
I think that the last 4 digits determins the order of release
velocityeleven 2 years ago
Does your platinum Spyro have a different 5 digit code to the "Non-platinum" version, do you know?
ASecondOpinion1501 2 years ago
no idea
velocityeleven 2 years ago
