All you haters can shut it! not every place in the world has waves and some of us live around lakes. if you want to feel all high and mighty about your purism of a sport then go do it and stop hating on others that want to try something different. kudos to the inventor of this i'd like to see you haters build anything this cool
it looks like fun to me. it doesn't harm surfing at all because it's not real surfing right? the same thing was said about snowboarding by skiers . it's just having fun on the water without the need for waves and the skill needed to do it plus you can do it in 2' of water or in fresh water , no sharks !
what is wrong with you people.... How do you manage to take the soul out of the soul sport... A motor in a surfboard... What's next the devil in heaven...
no its not the very first jet powered surfboard. The surfjet was in comp with the original kawi jet ski and the wetbike. They were white w-bicentenial striping & designed when computers were the size of buildings and didnt have design capabilities for lying lames to clame.
the first ever powered surf board? ha ha ha ha ha .... man these things been around in one way or another for atleast 50 years , try 1959 sumer skimer on youtube , or google SURFANGO, SURF-JET ( very 70's looking) , Aqua Xtremes XBoard , Motorsurf Jetboard , and mono jet
its a nice looking board , but you carn't say that its the first one, ford dosent say that its new coupe is the first car does it ?
barnpimp is on MF point pulling the mad historical surfjet titles. Remember the Wetbike? the snowmobile on water. I hated those. Whats the mini RC boat that you ski behind on a sufboard called?
@EdgerHumphrey Punch what? there wake. You all would be left the dust. the only thing they would be killing is more of their brain cells from doing more drugs.
they're like 5-6 grand. they are NOT just stand up jetskis because the rider steers by shifting his or her weight. the propulsion is fixed, therefore these are not considered to be personal watercrafts.
This is all very well and good, but these people aren't surfing. Those things are basically just stand-up jetskis. All you really need from a powered surfboard is the power to catch some crazy waves (or any waves for that matter - something this video is lacking) without the need for paddling or a tow-in.
Hey i have some questions about this, first how much do they cost, and second i live in toledo ohio is there a place around here where i can buy one, cause that thing looks G
i have used the forerunner of these it was called a surf jet back in the 1980s .i used it mostly in the surf to catch and rip the shit out of waves.back then i thought the surfjet needed a load of improvement with design it was way too heavy with a thumping great 250 cc 15hp engine and poorly designed jet pump.Bob has made improvements shame he thinks bigger is better most of that power is a waste of gas.back to the drawing board Bob and get the power to weight right this engine is overkill .
That is our patented SuperTorqueXT engine. 330cc single cylinder 45 HP. Made for the Powerski Jetboard but we are already using them in kayays and inflatables.
How much is it?

How large is the gas tank and how far will it travel on a full tank?
What about putting an analog control on the grip for one function controls instead of three separate controls for thrust, left, and right?

I hear that. They'll punch you silly at my local break just for showing up at all. Throw one of these into the mix and they'd probably just kill you.

the engine air intake shuts off in the patented arm-pole snorkle and any water flows to the tail section and exits via the pump bilge.
