How can this be done on Windows 7 home edition.

My internet protocole version 4 options -says- The combination of IP adress and subnet mask is invalid. All of the bits in the host adress are set to 0. Please enter a valid combination of IP adress and subnet mask.

@ggjoe723 if you have a wifi signal already then why would you want to create it? I mean you can run wifi to your computer and adhoc if u want to, but once you connect with your iPod for example, you can't use internet on your computer.

@CLICKAKSHAR you either do not have a wireless card in your laptop, or you have your wireless turned off. If your computer has an interface button (located on the keyboard somewhere) click that to turn it on, and then you should be able to create your ad-hoc

@cheque12000 oh yeah you can't be connecting to a wifi hotspot at the same time... you must be connected via the ethernet cable.. it works on windows 7 too!

@cheque12000 Yes it works with Win 7, disable the local area network adapter sharing and you can use any connection to share over wifi. Just a glitch, everytime you get disconnected from internet u gotta create a new network again and do the same procedure to enable the net sharing, as the old network won't have the net connection!!
