  • 19 By which also he (Jesus) went and preached unto the spirits in prison;

20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

    (1 Peter 3:19-20)

  • this is plain spam...

  • There have been over 10,000,000 reported cases of this phenomenon vs. 0 discoveries of transitional fossils. Of course, Mr.Dawkins will make the typical argument that this is some sort of sub conscious experience. But EEG results (graphic display of brain activity)have been flat for NDE patients whose hearts stopped or stopped breathing. Besides all this evidence I have a testimony by the Holy Spirit that the spirit will live one even after death.

    artbulladotcom

  • 116 And that spirit which is in man which was with me from the beginning which separateth from the temporal body upon the death thereof, goeth to dwell with other spirits who also move and have their beings, and do not die but go to the spirit of the earth upon which thou standest to await the resurrection, for the resurrection cometh to all men and women except them who cannot repent, even sons of perdition.

Revelations of Jesus Christ sec. 3 (given to the Prophet Art Bulla)

  • Is this even an argument?

  • look up "List of transitional fossils" on wikipedia

    oh and

NDE is caused by the lack of oxygen to the brain after the heart stops supplying blood to the brain, when this happens, people hallucinate. There are actually morons who choke themselves to achieve some sort of "high"

  • They've measured the EEG (graphic record of the electrical activity of the brain) of people who experienced NDE 10 seconds after their hearts stopped and it was flat. So this could not be the product of a frenzied or derangement of mind.

  • citation

  • Those transitional fossils are scams by Darwinists. One example:

Alan Feduccia, a world authority on birds at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an evolutionist himself, says:

Paleontologists have tried to turn Archaeopteryx into an earth-bound, feathered dinosaur. But it's not. It is a bird, a perching bird. And no amount of 'paleobabble' is going to change that.

  • I wonder how Richard Dawkins explains the over 10,000,000 reported cases of near death out of body experience while there are ZERO discoveries of fossils of transitional fossils. Of course, Mr.Dawkins will make the typical argument that the NDE is some sort of conscious experience. However this is false because they've measured the EEG (graphic record of the electrical activity of the brain) of people who experienced NDE 10 seconds after their hearts stopped and it was flat.

  • sorry for my grammar... Well, let's teach them tolerance with our example.

  • One more thing. It's stupid to be intolerant when you are a believer, or when you practice a religion, because all religions' bottom line is about respect and love yourself and others as well. So no matter if you believe or not: RESPECT.

  • "WHATEVER THEY LIKE WITHIN REASON" What does he means?

  • you know when people in hospitals prefer to give up instead of fighting death? Dawkins encourages fighting death instead of going in to "heaven".

  • enjoy this life as it's your only one

probably not wasting time going to church and stuff

i'm all for social gatherings, but i like it when everybody can talk...

  • ya, after the fact. had dawkins been there he would of easily refuted all of those horrid comments against atheism.

  • the video named "Miracle in the DNA -presented in 3D environment" on youtube is buries this man to grave.v=6mQgMjsxGDo

that video really destroys the evolution, also 3d environments must be seen, high tech is awesome, dont cry richard, evolution is dead!

  • the audio on that video hurts my ears, fix it and i might sit through it and then present my rebuttal

  • Isn't Atheism a religion? It has all the trappings of any other religion.

  • such as?

  • let's ignore belief for a minute

we don't have holidays, we don't gather for weekly masses or anything similar to them, we don't pray, we don't make religious sacrifices, we don't mutilate our kids for religious reasons, we don't have a holy text, we don't have a person that we all accept as a leader

  • The root of the word holiday is holy day -it is assumed you have no holidays. You don't need weekly masses-you're too busy shoving evolution down my kid's throat on a daily basis in school. As far as I can tell I have never mutilated my kids for any reason, Darwin however had a couple that died of starvation. Your holy text is the geologic column and the fossil record. Let's ignore YOU for a minute!

  • "The root of the word holiday is holy day -it is assumed you have no holidays."

Good, then you accept that nothing is holy to us and we are not a religion

But the unit only lasts for about 1/8th of a year, and 1/5 of the time spent at school might be a science class, as opposed to the daily prayers and weekly masses you force them to go to.

  • Excuse me, but my children are not "forced" to pray, and they are certainly not "forced" to attend church - the proof is in the fact that they often times don't go. I don't mean to be cross with you beloved, but I'm tired of little ones being shown Haekels embryo drawings as fact when this man was prosecuted for presenting phony material -yes it is still in your childs textbook! Please, Athiests are not dumb - they have been deceived just as I once was.

  • [citation needed]

  • Dawkins says..... "there is not a shred of evidence in favor of the Judeo-Christian God"

Consider the books by Josh McDowell "EVIDENCE DEMANDS A VERDICT" He sought to honestly disprove God and simply could not. When you decide to read the EVIDENCE, then get back to me on this. Go ahead, get fired up, read it, and write a rebuttal to dis prove Josh. Prove to your self once and for all God is not there. I lay the challenge at your feet...

  • a nice gesture, but i also lat the challenge at your feet to prove that god DOES exist. you are corect, in that there is no solid proof that he does not exist, although the fact that it cannot be proven, would seem almost as a proof in itself. with the lack thereof as direct evidence, one must consider indirect natural suggestions, this is where atheists and christians draw the line from one anoher.

  • While I understand your kind response, I sat under Dr A.E. Wilder-Smith, a scientist of huge respect within his peers. There were many learned scholars there as well. Wish you could have been there. There were some who converted, as it were, and some who held fast to rejecting the notion of God. I have witnessed alot in my life...and I see the God who is in this. (contd)

  • as time goes on i am finding that belief in god does not depend so much on education and itellect as it does other factors(obviously). i believe fear to be a greater one. i must say though i do respect you for not throwing dogmatic regugitation at me as a means of persuasion.

    anyway,

at some point the truth will be known, weather it be me ending up in hell or no one ending up anywhere.

  • Hi Quantum..thank you...Yeah, dogmatic regurgitation sucks. I would not believe out of fear, nor its brother, "Pascals wager." To me, Science looks for the "how and why" in various theories. Conversely, The universe, and all the (natural) things of this earth actually speaks to me of The Who. Lastly, I should not like to see you miss out. total bummer.

  • quantum...(contd) There are many points to ponder for belief: The unlikely prospect that Jesus fulfilled over 300 prophecies concerning his birth/death/and resurection, all of which is confirmed by Jewish historians who did not accept him as Messiah.I have seen first hand medical miracles. but more importantly, lives changed from crime, evil, etc to that of a changed heart(contd)

  • quantum contd)I am afraid I have to defer your need of scientific proof and theory to Dr. Wilder-smiths works, writings, and videos. Consider that courts can convict people on circumstantial evidence, things left behind by the perp. that"point the finger" as it were. In this respect, I see huge evidence of HIS existence.

  • Atheism is a set of beliefs adhered to, making it a "religion". To be an athiest, you must disprove "God" within your set of beliefs. Ultimately, that too takes faith. There is more circumstantial evidence for His existence then not. I wonder what an Athiest will do when they stand in the presence of God? Tell Him HE does not exist? To be sure, you will meet Him upon death. Oh wait, you dont believe He exits. Same ol circle.

  • Damn straight theres a difference between a Christian firefighter and an atheist firefighter! The atheist firefighter has to be truly altruistic to risk his life for others as a firefigher not expecting any reward. The atheist firefighter is truly selfless.

  • shut up zflood, you aren't making any sense, the christian firefighter isn't expecting any reward

  • Dawnkins is seriously too good at everything.

  • puppy666 you are an idiot, there is nothing in here that is good. just because someone believes in an afterlife doesn't mean they give up on living this life to the fullest

  • They gave him a great (if tiny) airspace. Would not have expected that from CNN

  • thats good, he only needed a tiny airspace cause his arguments are crap

  • I must agree with Dawkins......most athiests I have ever encountered are gentle souls. The Late Madelyn Murray O'Hair, famous atheist that she was, complimented the late Dr Walter Martin for his kindness during their debate. Her son, for whom prayer was taken out of schools, saw the flaws of athesism, and accepted Christ, creator of Heaven and Earth. That speaks volumes to the truth taught by Jesus.

  • @ theophilus46

    What is your point?

  • Frank, truth can be found if you seek it. Most people rebel against the necessity of a Savior because we all want to think we are "good people"."If God is there" and you reject His attempts to connect with you, then that is your choice. Dawkins reasoning is flawed. Accepting Christ give us more LIFE, not less. Google Dr A.E Wilder-Smith, you might be surprised.

  • how does christ give us more life?

  • Good question ...an age old question to boot. your question as posed is not easy to answer here. Feel free to pose your questions on YOU TUBE e-mail to me. If Jesus truly is the giver of LIFE, then if we go where He is, we truly have more of Life. Mankind has always looked to understand why we are here in the first place. The former athiest, Alister McGrath is on YOU TUBE. I invite you to listen to him.

  • I just put in Dr A.E.Wilder-Smith on YOU TUBE and he is here as well. So besides Alister McGrath, I invite you to listen to Dr. Wilder-Smith. The combined wisdom of these two go way beyond my B.A.

  • You say Dawkins logic is flawed but don't say how???

Dawkins tore shreads off Alister McGrath on his program anyway...

Giver of Life??? Do you work in a hospital? They have a nice prayer room in ours and its does bugger all for the patients status, just makes their relatives feel better...

There is research to prove that...

  • Christians are gentle souls! no christian is a suicide bomber thats islam

  • support the fight against atheists , just send 10 dollars to god ! ha ha

  • you're the jerk, making personal attacks.

  • way to go with that insighful remark. very enlightening. care to elaborate?

  • The condition "God exist" need stricly the condition

"God dont exist"..because if God should exist then is a things of realty betweene the others..is a particular and no a universal thing, and I can differenziate myself from it, agrre more or less..this cannot be a God

  • why does it need to be a god?

  • Well reasoned by Dawkins once again. If only fundies would actually listen to what he said, rather than simply demonizing his beliefs without listening to them...

  • I don't believe that mankind was magically spun from the aether by an invisible space genie (or grew from a spare rib).

I believe, according to modern science, that life is a series of chemical reactions which was formed billions of years ago from other chemical reactions.

This process has been proven in laboratory conditions, while the presence of God, sadly, has not.

  • "I didn't say he had signs of delusion. I said he IS delusional. Believing you are something that you're not, is delusion. In this case he believes he came into existence from... "nothing""

Maybe you're the one that's delusionial, believing you came from something that doesn't exist?

  • big up to all the atheists/Darwinians!!

  • can my american friends please tell me whether you guys are learning science at school and if yes, how is tought by your teachers? are your teachers atheists or christian? if they are christian , how do they teach or explain the evolution theory .Just wondered , coz i grew up believing in science not in the god. in stead of believing in god , we do have our own moral standards tought in the school and home.

moral standard accounts for big part of one nations culture.

  • I'm not American, but from what I have gathered from various documentaries and such, all schools teach evolution, Kansas is making school teach both evolution and "intelligent design", and some assholes home school their kids just to avoid evolution (watch Jesus Camp, it will make you sick and heartbroken)

  • how come the majority of nation be so ignorant and yet can claim themselves as the No.1 country in the world. I love loving and kind people with high moral standard and you can have all these good qualities without beliving in god . hope bush understands this.

  • Have you seen SiCKO by Michael Moore yet?

  • ellen88, that's just it: this belief that America is #1 in everything is almost as powerful a delusion as the god delusion. It is arrogance borne of ignorance and it's endemic in America. What America is #1 in are mostly the worst categories, like arms production, polution per capita, etc...

  • There just different people who hold a differnt believe system 01:52. That's religion. Evolution is their GOD. Richard Dawkins own words contradict eveything he says he doesn't believe in. I would say that he is the one delusioned.

  • evolution is a scientific theory, it can either be accepted as fact or denied

god is a myth, you can either have faith in him, or not believe he exists

  • You said it "theory" and that being the operative phrase. It is an idea that has science as a title. I have studied it to no end. The thing that gets me is their teachings which never seem to leave out words like chance,if,mabye, possible, could have, might have,

and on and on. I think evolution is the myth.

  • using those word is because we do not want people in a solid mindset, we want people to accept new scientific facts as they come in from the scientists, as not to let religion happen within science itself (it can happen if we did not separate theory from law)

we also have to accept the most current and proven theory because it offers the most evidence

  • Well at least you didn't get mad and start calling me names like some of the post I get. I can see your honesty from what you said I wished all of them could be that way. Science should stick with what they do know. They tend to teach theory over fact not fact over theory. That's been the trend as I see it.

  • Science teaches facts supporting theory, no theory exists without facts backing it up

  • Facts don't need theory. If there were no theory then how could you find facts? On what base does a fact start from? Ideas must come first or facts could not be found. For there would be no need to search.

  • Nobody needs a theory to find a fact, facts are just bits of truths that can be found

Found, never created by man, it can be found at any time during any process, it does not need to be actually searched for, then ideas may form based on those facts

There is a need to search!!!! We need to know things!!!! And I personally think humans should hurry up and get themselves a way off earth before something bad happens to this precious specie I belong to.

  • Ok, imagine you are a toddler, you start to walk, you fall, you didn't mean to fall, but through falling, you discover a fact

    Falling hurts

  • But Darwin didn't know facts when he came up with his

theory. He theorized it then tried to find the facts.

Yes facts remian no matter what even if were wrong it doesn't change. One would have believe he could walk first before finding out the facts on how to walk.

  • It is time that the bloody brutality of the American Taliban ends! I salute this man!

  • I know this man, all his done is to take the best of science and compare it to the worse of religion, science doesnt prove anything, it doesnt say why, it just says how, This person, even my Bio teacher said is arrogant.

  • ahem, the jewish religion doesn't believe in another life (an afterlife). the bible never mentions that - plus, the reward to good people is longer lives and being rich in this life.

and quantum mechanics is more ridiculous than the flying spaghetti monster. yet, it's true.

    (i'm not religious tho)

  • Richard Dawkins is the best

  • who really cares whether someone is atheist or religious? humankind is awful anyway. study a little history or turn on the TV news if you want to see the nastiness mankind is capable of. 2 or 3 more generations like this and earth will never recover. 2/3 of frog species are endangered. 1/4 of mammal species are endangered. party on folks.

  • well then stop fucking fucking

  • Who says the bible ain't logical?

Who created the heavens and the earth (and us) then?

Why, God did. See LOGICAL !

    Ummm.... Who made God?

  • Imagine the following:

A Christian is sitting on a bench eating his sandwiches during his lunch-break.

Of a sudden Jesus comes down from above and sits next to him and says:

"Hey, I'm not really the son of God, keep it under your hat, but God doesn't exist".

Would he be believed? Course not!

  • he would be believed if that became the official doctrine of a mighty military empire

  • "Debate between Ricard Dawkins and Francis Collins,

DAWKINS: To me, the right approach is to say we are profoundly ignorant of these matters. We need to work on them. But to suddenly say the answer is God--it's that that seems to me to close off the discussion.

TIME: Could the answer be God?

DAWKINS: There could be something incredibly grand and incomprehensible and beyond our present understanding.

    COLLINS: That's God.

DAWKINS: Yes. But it could be.."

    Time Nov 5th 2006

  • can you comprehend the amount of knowledge that is able to be extracted from our universe?

  • ok great. so richard dawkins believes in god then? why did you bother?

  • i almost laughed

  • i like in the end how he groups all religous people into a sort of hindu baised reincarnation. just kinda shows his misunderstanding about other religons.

  • This guy is a genious, im gonna go buy his book tomorrow. Praise His noodlyness -RAmen

  • dawkins means if there was only 1 God beleived by humans,he would believe in It,too.poor dawky!

  • Poor you to think that!

  • Chimps and other animals are FAR MORE "moral" than human beings. Ever heard of a chimp using it's own offspring as a suicide bomber to kill for the betterment of those who wish for the rest of the world to worsip it's specific chimp-god, in a very specific chimp-god worshipping format? No. You haven't. The next time some idiot says that suicide bombers are animals, punch him in the hoo-hahs and hand him a banana. Life is too short to suffer fools, vote Republican or watch FOX "news".

  • is there a name for the point in time when a species can start to ignore basic natural instincts and act "human"? kind of like singularity as in AI robots?

  • If god is a flying spaghetti monster, then I will believe in god!! I want an edible, yummy god!!

  • This is why we fight.

The fight, is in your mind, heart against / flesh. This is why you can do something wrong, and enjoy it, but feel guilty at the same time.

  • i'm sure that religious people enjoy their wrong doings even more, so much so that they dismiss it as gods will and think that they are doing good

  • Humans can have many Gods. Two are the strongest. One is Pure Love, which is wisdom, faith, wholeness, peace, etc.. The other is Carnal, (Satan) "self" emotionally ruled. Which is also "science" the human understanding, fear, selfishness, hostility, violence, greed, lust, "survival of the fittest"...

God said I created you in my image, which means your suppose to be like Him, yet you choose to be like the beast of the land. (carnal minded).

  • No, man said that. And then said that god said it.

  • Still most religions are ful of assholes and most of those assholes are usually intolerant christians and who else wants to bet that if there was a god he'd want a kind and honest atheist over a mean and intolerant christian you all think that believing in god is enough but when it comes down to it thats all you think is true I've never seen anyone besides a saint even attempt to follow their religious code and remember you all are jesus ignorant blind and stupid sheep

  • Intolerant Christians? Isn't that the pot calling the kettle black? It's nice to see you look upon your self so well while you and most jerks like you do everything you can to control the ability of people of faith to freely lead their own life, Hitler. A bigot calling a Christian intolerant, that's laughable Idiot.

  • "still most religions are full of assholes" <--I suppose this is what you mean by tolerance, right?

  • there is a difference between insulting people and intolerance

we tolerate everyone, just not their beliefs because it is a threat to scientific advancement and human freedoms and rights

we can still call you an asshole, just like that asshole who did-so-and-so (i haven't met many assholes lately to provide an example)

  • Now wait a minute here his actions and words contradict his own beliefs, first he says "there is no God this is the only life you are gonna get" then he says "but it's a precious life"???? Evolution doesn't say this is a precious life it says life is meaningless and mans system of morality is devoid of Christian principles and beliefs what he should be saying is "KILL whoever and what ever you need to kill in order to survive"

  • What he said DEFIES his own stupid beliefs. There is NO way man could through evolutionary processes form a system of morality other than a "kill to stay alive" scenario, it completely contradicts everything we know about the animal world and the hostilities we see in it. He's so full of shit his eyes are brown!!

  • r u retarted? we killed to get food, but humans have always lived in groups and that is what gives us the morals.

if you were an asshole to everyone in your group, would u survive and pass on your genes? they'll just ditch u and no female would have ur kids.

morals and ethics comes from evolution, not some fiction novel

  • Actually I would say you are retarded, if we have to kill to get food and we have to kill to survive why would we live in groups, especially seeing that only other creature on this planet that can compete with a human is a human. That's about the dumbest thing I've ever heard. So if this evolution thingy is true why is there such any violence discrepancy between every nation on earth and middle eastern countries?

  • Yet there are many other religions, Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity etc. that are not as prone to violence as Islam. So explain how this is possible in evolution, I don't see Buddhists or Christians blowing up buses or flying planes into buildings?

  • i don't see your point here... all you are saying is that islam is violent... morals and ethics come from evolution, religion simply modifies them.

oh and christians bomb women's clinics, thats bad enough

buddhists are basically killing themselves and other people over a long period of time, i see them as sort of a cleanser since the buddhists will only attract idiots who won't ever reproduce, and all without affecting the rest of society. sorta like the dust mites on your skin right now

  • Apparently you haven't seen maps of ongoing worldwide battles, there is a significant discrepancy in the middle east. This defies the evolutionary model once again. My point is that there is an underlying desire for each person to fulfill a pre-existing/natural morality in he his or her own subconscious. If evolution where a fact there would be no discrepancy in moral beliefs.

  • compete? there is no competition on the different levels of the food chain, if you are lower, you get eaten, and if you are lower you try and survive.

and humans are not invincible, never was, never will be.

competition is normal, countries fighting each other is no different from groups fighting for territory back in the days

its actually the same amount of violence, just a lot more land, people, and efficiency with the new fangled guns and stuff

  • Really? Is it normal for one man to give his life for another man in battle? What evolutionary fact proves that survival dictates a human must die for another human? I don't see chimpanzees fighting and dying for other chimpanzees. Unequivocally, human morality defies evolution.

  • in nature, animals will fight and die to protect others, think of bees, ants, and if you have a birds nest near your house, try and grab an egg, see what happens if the mother sees you

  • i determine the meaning of my life

i enjoy my hobbies, friends, and satisfaction from helping people, im pretty sure my life is precious to me, and maybe to some other people too, if i had a choice to live or die, i'd live

  • You can certainly be religious and enjoy your life. However, I recently attended a church service that kept slamming home how sinful we are and how this life on earth is but a small journey to a better place. So I am supposed to feel guilty for sin in this life but it will get better when I am dead? No thanks, I don't feel guilty until I can identify the actual bad thing I have done (and bad is not measured by any arbitrary religious morals that make no sense).

  • This man speaks the Truth.

  • Religion is creeepppy!!

  • this is hilarious! i dont believe in thor or zeus! did not even know that the universe started in a dot. then it exploded or expanded thats what most atheists and evolutionists believe. im not bother, its sounds irrational though to believe. then the planets, galaxies, etc... created. we people become dirt again. its how it is. i dont think God believe them.

  • > i dont believe in thor or zeus!

Why don't you? Why do you believe in the sky fairy you happen to believe in, but not in these ones, or in the mayan Cit-Bolon-Tum, or in the Aztec Chalchiuhtotolin?

  • Thor and Zeus are myth. Sky fairy in the sky like who said? Do you really unerstand what is God and gods? mayan cit bolon tum.. even chalcitotolin. nope i dont believe them you know why? they are all idols and goddess of such unknown civilization.. sorry, i guess you dont see the difference between God and them. thank you anyway!

  • > Thor and Zeus are myth.

How are they more "myths" than your own personal bearded sky fairy?

    > what is God and gods?

Surnatural beings for whose existence we don't have any evidence.

    > they are all idols and goddess of such unknown civilization

The Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Mayan, Aztec or Viking civilizations are "unknown" now?

    > i guess you dont see the difference between God and them.

You were brought up in the belief of the christian god. That is the only difference.

  • like who said GOd was bearded sky fairy? and im pretty sure he dont live in a sky lol. what i said unknown was unknow to Judaic people. people like them have their own gods. what i said is.. you dont literally know between Christian God and gods of this world. civilization such as Roman, Greek, azTec, etc.. is just an idols! myth! thank you so much!

  • point being...

  • There must be certain initial conditions before scientific laws can explain anything. They don't explain the nature of those conditions which must be in place.

  • The universe could not of come from nothing. This would break the laws of science and is impossible. The fact that we have a universe, testifies to something eternal from which it came. I've watched Dawkins on video balk at this issue and change the subject. Dawkins has no answers for the origin of the universe because there aren't any except for God.

  • And what is the origin of god moron? And FYI we do have guite a big bunch of theories that could explain how universe "came from nothing" without god.

  • God is eternal. There is nothing about sub particle matter that indicates it is the final level of reality dependant on itself.

  • Science can NOT explain existence, nor WHY the laws of science are the laws of nature, nor does it explain science itself. Yet people wish to worship science.

  • Why the fuck would you explain why the answer to why is as it is?

    Get a fucking brain, dumbass.

  • Please could you please rephrase please your question please? Sorry man, i'm interested in the question, i just don't quite understand(refer to your second comment for details)

  • science will never explain the existence. they can only explain when its created. then start making theories how it began. its quite skeptical though. even laws, inertia, etc... theres thousand of them they cant explain. its just sad, people dont want to believe God. they make God a corruptible God like men.

  • isnt that FAITH when you cant see then you believe on it? time has a starting point. so dont tell me in the beginning there was nothing. and that nothing become something like a dot. but whats the use of theories when it was possible it woudnt exist in the first place. it easier to make an arguements or theories.

  • First of all,how do you know that time has a starting point? What we know about physics is that energy cannot be destroyed or created,so it is logical to presume that all the energy reguired to create the universe has always been there.Following that logic universe is eternal

  • what i said was, TIME has a starting point (period) then you asked me 'how do i know that time has a starting point' my answer would be God! because he was the beginning (period) i dont really understand. you said something about physics, energy something.. i guess you could explain it again.

  • Time is a human invention. As is your beloved god.

  • The measuring of time is a human invention. Oddly, we measure it based on the life and death of a homeless guy who lived 2000 years ago. Strange.

  • we didn't, people like you did and pushed it until it became the norm, different cultures still have different calenders these days

  • Very strange indeed! I really wonder why. Do you have any clue, buddy?

  • Calendar is a human invention. But time is not! We might dont have watches or anything like that. But theres a night and day! We know it keeps moving forward! You might notice, that is the law of nature. But not a mere invention of human being that could develop in an exact intel. of human being!

  • if you watched soooo many Dawkins videos, you should know he's a biology professor... not quantum physics or whatever

  • OMG Dawkins really is delusional... poor guy doesn't know God.

  • Not knowing something isn't a sign of delusion, anyway.

"Knowing" something that doesn't exist is.

  • To know something doesn't exist, you must possess infinite knowledge Chumpsky(nice username). Its like saying, "i have infinite knowledge that no being exists with infinite knowledge."

  • So you're an agnostic with respect to the Easter Bunny, are you?

You genuinely aren't sure if there's a giant rabbit who comes and delivers chocolate eggs to all the boys and girls? You believe that it could be real?

Furthermore, why don't you believe in Vishnu? There's an equal amount of proof for Vishnu as there is for God and the Easter Bunny.

  • We aren't on the same wavelength my friend. I see God in EVERYTHING THAT EXISTS. That is all the proof you need. "A creature revolting against a creator is revolting against the source of his own powers--including even his power to revolt...It is like the scent of a flower trying to destroy the flower. --C.S. Lewis

  • That's not proof. That's circular reasoning. Just to let you know.

  • As you assume God does not exist. But no one comes to find God merely with intellect. I had to escape my own cleverness and swallow much pride, and God revealed himself to me.

  • Ok. So if the Easter Bunny "revealed" himself to me, that would be proof of his existence? What you're describing is delusion, plain and simple.

Believe what you wish. But when you accuse others of logical fallacy because they don't share your delusion, you're moving into the realm of paranoia.

  • I'm not trying to logic with you. Believe what you wish as well. You exhibit faith as well. There's something in every atheist, itching to believe, and something in every believer, itching to doubt.

  • What faith am I exhibiting? I'm choosing not to believe in something that I have no evidence for. There's no faith involved.

  • Start asking for evidence. But careful, God can be quite unscrupulous. On a side note, I often wonder what atheists do when they're really thankful and have nobody to thank.

  • "God can be quite unscrupulous."

Just read the OT to find out how unscrupulous it can be.

Sounds like a mafia protection racket here.

"Nice place you have here. It'd be a shame if something were to happen to it."

  • Start asking for evidence. But careful, God can be quite unscrupulous. On a side note, I often wonder what atheists do when they're really thankful and have nobody to thank."

name one incidence when i should be thankful but nobody should be thanked

  • There is never an incident when you should be thankful and nobody should be thanked. You illustrated my point perfectly.

  • So...you're a pantheist then?

  • Right on!

  • Love does exist. Love = God.

  • Well, that's a pretty shaky piece of proof for the existence of God. Neither of those points is provable.

  • Thats cute, right out of a fairytale...

  • Love does not exist, if it has anything to do with God. Hate=different views of God.

  • I didn't say he had signs of delusion. I said he IS delusional. Believing you are something that you're not, is delusion. In this case he believes he came into existence from... "nothing"

  • Actually, Creationists believe they came from nothing. That is, they believe that God literally created mankind out of thin air.

  • It amazes me to find an intelligent person who fights against something which he does not at all believe exists. --Mohandas Gandhi

  • well gandhi was a racist and violent asshole anyways

  • Being a follower of Christ is about living life to the full, Richard. Its about being completely in harmony and in tune with the reality that has been given to us. Not just biding time waiting for some other life.

"If there were no God, there would be no atheists." --G.K. Chesterton

  • Well, living life to the full, within particular limits as defined by the religion. Thus, not living a full life.

  • I'm not speaking of "religion", I'm speaking of Jesus Christ. Following Christ teaching creates harmony, if everyone did, we would live in a paradise.

  • Yeah, because Christians never do anything evil, right?

What religion do you think the Spanish Inquisition were, Sikhs?

  • yeah, like george w. bush ! that guy LOVES peace and harmony.

  • i didn't vote for bush.

  • Oh yeah? I thought it was about doing and believing what a religious book says or you will burn for eternity in a place created by a god called hell.

  • I have often struggled with the concept of hell. I know I don't want to go there though.

  • foxtrot, you are one of those nominal christian. when you have the inspired word of God theres NO doubt believing it. its like Origen, the man who stood the
