I think this theme is fantastic, it fits the somber tone of the show and i tune in on time so i can hear it, i would love an mp3.

@scoot995 To be honest, I've watched the American Law and Order (mostly just SVU though) all my life, and I really do prefer this theme. It's beautiful; the American theme, though, is kinda like a noirish theme and it's also pretty catchy.

I actually prefer the UK versions of the Law and Order themes, especially the SVU one.
The only US one i like is TBJ

The UK LA franchise themes are far better than the Cagney and Lacey reject themes the US have.
Is it possible for ANY US show to NOT have saxaphones in the theme? Is there some guild thing going on?

I agree, I mean come on if L&O were on the Lifetime Network and the cops & D.A.s spent the episodes discussing their feelings then this would be perfect, but this is not the theme to a cop show.

Interesting to see that they use all four primary characters/actors in one opening, as opposed to the way they split up the partner intros in the U.S.
