On July 13, 2010, Tarsier Studios officially announced that the developer "has signed an exclusive first party deal with Sony Computer Entertainment Europe".[1] It is currently unknown if the deal relates to The City of Metronome.

@matey27: Wii or Nintendo has nothing to do with any of these games. There was no better time and financially workable than distributing it on the XBLA. It just didn't get enough money. It won't come out for hte Wii because it still costs more money to than making a downloadable game.

This game failed to find publishers because they couldn't demonstrate even basic combat. They had a great premise and couldn't prove what it was worth, instead sticking to hypothetical game-play concepts to woo-in would be publishers. Yes it had cool graphics but that is about it.

The game has been purchased by Sony. If they get the money to do it from Sony - and actually do it - remains to be seen.

This game isn't cancelled, just stuck in limbo. I believe the game never got a publisher so it never got released. Tarsier Studios said a while back that the game is still in development and they're searching for a publisher. Considering they're now a first party developer for SCEE I imagine it's possible we could see SCE publishing it for PlayStation 3. One things for certain, if we ever see this title it's be on PlayStation 3. Fingers crossed.

it sucks that Sony hasn't done shit to or with it...at least...i think so...Sony talked about two games at E3 2005, but haven't been heard from or seen since....

its not cancelled, its very much on. nordic games have taken the publishing reignes. a dat of 6/6/09 was put out but we all know that isnt true. it will be Q4 2010 or Q1 2011
