  • Thanks a lot!

I haven't got any money for a new keyboard and this really helped me out.

Just need to find a few missing screws now. :P

  • I just had a go at repairing my Edirol PCR-1, using a pencil to colour in the contacts under that rubber bubble strip, apparently the graphite in the pencil lead is very conductive (grey pencils, not coloured pencils, silly!). The velocity has improved too, is use to be really uneven.

  • @assemblism Yeah, thats a good quick fix too but i tried it and it didnt last long for me though :)

  • what store can i find one of these? keyboards

  • @musicflowable any music store should be selling these keyboards. its just might be a bit messy if you will be buying a midi keyboard and connecting it to pc.

  • sweet tutorial man

  • @Willsolo12 thanks, but this fix didn't last long for me, only for about a month. So i bought new rubber contacts, cut off the old ones and glued new ones. It now works perfectly, except velocity response is not exactly the same across all keys, but it's hard to notice. These rubber contacts were meant for fixing TV remote control, but it worked for Edirol just fine.
