dude!! you really have to get a new dynamo for your audi a.s.a.p....
that is a very important electrical part of your car, and if it stops working at all, then every other electrical part does so, starting with the radiator fan, taking to overheating and burning of your engine-head.... better change the piece for a new one... is not so expensive and it will give your audi other 20 years of useful life....
the Dynamo is the whole piece, not only the part wich turns, so you dont need to take the piece off and open it; what you have to do is change the whole thing. sometimes you can find on the cheap market re-built pieces, but that is a bad idea, so better go the the new shop and get a new one, and in one hour you'll have your car running without problem.

Oh ok thanks for the advise. Just A quick question is a Dynamo the thing that spins around with the belt pulley?.
I was told the electro magnetic switch isnt working which is causing the clutch to slip and burn when turned, could that be right?....
Once again cheers for the advise
