Everything is sounding good with each string playing the part, what confuses me is what happened to 4th repeat of the beginning? the part where the violin starts it off is repeated four times. I heard the first 3 come in correctly but, why wasn't the 4th put in? that part really stands out because its like a canon, it repeats the beginning and the original song has it repeated 4 times.
seens really nice, and seconding that coment over there, I'd love a Cello "little fugue" would be very warm and beautifull ^^ but I unfortunatly have to point the quality of the sound is pretty bad =( sorry
@onesummerseve the viola IS playing in alto cleft. is you know how to read music the beginning says "violin 1" meaning those are que notes... you don't play those.
welll i don't know what age group this is for but I'm only in eighth grade and i have this song and its like four times harder and a level 4....real instruments like my cello would have sounded better than the computer
This is why I like woodwind instruments... less guesstimation on tuning! haha, nice job though, especially for sightreading! I would totally have been lost by halfway through the first page! :)
seems that the notes are the same with when we play it with the organ, but the sound is totally different. Of course because the instrument is different.
No prob with your honesty, but it is unusual that you want the more beautiful midi viola part! I agree the viola playing is not the best but it illustrates the fact that I am offering this arrangement with embedded practice parts, and you can either play or turn off the solo part. The viola is too loud for a start and I was sight reading! The popularity of YouTube videos does not always match their quality, so I dont think another upload of this would magically overtake this one!
I can sell you this arrangement for $20 US. You get all parts set out well, plus they all have the other parts embedded fro rehearsal. You can vary the tempo, plus I have a link to the free Finale application.
I made it in Finale 2006, which cost a lot, but at the time they had a free application, Finale NotePad, which you can use to play the file, change tempo, and edit if you want. But not the hidden tracks. So now they took past versions of NotePad off their website, but I have a link to NotePad 06 and its free. If you want to buy my arrangement, I will send you the link.
@ExpressStaveNotation oh its fine then, but thank you for telling me the program. I would gratefully buy your arrangement, as it seems it was prepared with much effort and time into it, but i'm afraid because i have no credit, debit, giftcard, or paypal, i will not be able to buy this arrangement of yours. but i can do one good thing and it is to ask my friends what they think of it, maybe they will purchase it.
It is the Finale default, but i turned up the reverb in the mixer and keep in mind the viola part is me playing live , while the viola part is muted on the computer.
very nice but i think there should be a pdf. file. it shouldn't be hard to upload it as well. i expect to see 50,000 views when some geeks catch on (i'm not saying geek in a derogatory way)
Im trying to sell this arrangement for profit! I have given away hundreds of the Pachelbel Canon for free. With this version you get more than the sheet music, it is audio backing for rehearsing any of the parts.
Thanks! I can sell you the arrangement for $10US. You get all the parts (printable) with embedded backing tracks for rehearsing, and a link to a free version of Finale NotePad.
Personally, I think the song sounds a little better when the tempo is increased by like 10 clicks or so...it sounds like the written tempo is around 130ish maybe....I think it sounds a bit better when its around 140...but thats just me.

...... doesn't the viola play alto cleft?
onesummerseve 6 months ago
@onesummerseve Yes, the first parts are cues for the violin (treble clef) then cello (bass clef). The viola enters in bar 33 : )

I can be really honest...
The music is beautiful, especially played with string instruments
But I must say your viola playing wasnt good enough to go with other voices
I think you should do the right thing and reupload this vid with the computer playing the viola part.
This would make this arrangement even more popular
