The egyptians deified the sun as a trinity of gods: Osiris, the Father, Horus, the Son, and Ra, the Highest Sun; each corresponding to a at least one of the sun's 3 key positions throughout the day. In Chapter 5 of the Book of Gates, Horus has a separate group of 12 in his service, to whom he tells "Live delicately on the BREAD of HU, and drink ye the Ale of Maat." This ale is later referred to as the "Tchersert Drink" which translates to "Divine Drink". This concept is reworked in the NT when jesus offers 12 of his followers his body in the form of BREAD and his divine blood in the form of WINE during the Eucharist.

Wow... I always felt that religion was bullshit, even as a child. I was never the type to just believe what people told me. They would find it rude to question their beliefs when in private study or church. When they couldn't give a logical answer it always ended with the same phrase without fail: "You have to have faith"... That just don't work for me. I aint gonna waste my life worshiping a guy who I have no evidence even exists!

The fact is that Zeitgeist's main argument is that Jesus's tale is a "copy" of other religion's characters, such as Horus, Krishna, etc. But if you reasearch about them, you will learn that their history has nothing to do with Jesus's. Horus wasn't born of a virgin, nor he was crucified, etc.

This is interesting, but people who believe in God shouldn't be worried by it. Yes, Christianity is confused, and this illustrates why, but it has no effect on what people believe about how the universe has come to exist in the first place. Maybe those who take the bible literally should do some background reading though. I studied RE and learned all about the truth behind the gospels (who wrote them/translation issues etc) and was taught by a nun. A belief can stay intact despite this.
People find religion because we are conditioned to believe in this "good/Bad" illusion of duality. and people are conditioned to believe that if we dont find religion(good), then we will go to hell.. Life isnt that simple.. All the answers lie within YOU. Not some book... We are all multi-dimensional beings of infinite conciousness.

What people like the manufacturer of this video counts on is people not knowing the history of what he is talking about. For instance Mithra was did not have a 'virgin birth' he was born from rock. It is also interesting that Josephus testimony about Christ in this video is denounced as false when in the opposite respect when it comes to the death of the Holy Innocents others claim that this did not happen because Josephus did not mention it.

The virgin birth stories do exist but in Christianity (and in other spiritual beliefs) the virgin in question was the human mother. In Catholicism the Immaculate Conception IS the Virgin Mary who was born without original sin. Mithra coming from rock,has no identifiable parents, save perhaps a Gaia principal. Born a complete adult and dressed is akin more to Greek mythological figures.

They would find it rude to question their beliefs when in private study or church. The fact is that Zeitgeist's main argument is that Jesus's tale is a "copy" of other religion's characters, such as Horus, Krishna, etc. But if you reasearch about them, you will learn that their history has nothing to do with Jesus's. Horus wasn't born of a virgin, nor he was crucified, etc.

This is interesting, but people who believe in God shouldn't be worried by it. Yes, Christianity is confused, and this illustrates why, but it has no effect on what people believe about how the universe has come to exist in the first place. Maybe those who take the bible literally should do some background reading though. I studied RE and learned all about the truth behind the gospels (who wrote them/translation issues etc) and was taught by a nun. A belief can stay intact despite this.

The virgin birth stories do exist but in Christianity (and in other spiritual beliefs) the virgin in question was the human mother. In Catholicism the Immaculate Conception IS the Virgin Mary who was born without original sin. Mithra coming from rock,has no identifiable parents, save perhaps a Gaia principal. Born a complete adult and dressed is akin more to Greek mythological figures.

This video only proves that stories from the pass was told over the years with little change. No one today can say why and where those stories originated from. God created everything. We live in a created world not a oops there it is! Believe in Jesus, you have hope, believe in this limited minded man (who does bring up questions that needs to be answered), you no have hope.
